a zombie infestation is medically impossible. Everything about the situation we were unfairly thrown into is improbable and fantastical.

It is both impossible to find and probable explanation for the outbreak, and to find any sort of cure. The whole situation is an anomaly, with rules of science that bend and change depending on circumstances, making it unpredicable and dangerous.
