I will not lie about it. I’m mad at you still. Everyday, whether it is good or bad, I always have things I want to call you about. Things I want to spend hours talking about at 1 am the way we used to. I miss late night drunk texts from you confessing your love for me & planning how we were gonna clone me. I have an entire list of things, that over the years we added to, that we were going to do when you moved back home... I just hate that you took it all away from me & that’s selfish to say because you left an entire family behind, but I’m allowed to be selfish. You were so damn selfish for that shit.... & I feel like it’s been so damn long since you’ve came to visit me in my dreams, or reminded me that you’re there.. Until today. Today I found a picture of you in my drawer. I hung you up on my mirror, where I will see you everyday. I surrounded you with gold because to me you are a treasure. You are an angel looking down on me & even though I am still upset with you from taking your light from the world, I am blessed to have had it at all.... You will always be my best friend. No matter how far away you are, or how long it’s been since I’ve seen you.. I have images of our last texts engraved in my brain & I will hold them there forever. One day I will find peace in this, I just hope you come to visit my dreams soon, because I wanna tell you of all the beautiful things I am going through & hear you tell me how proud of me you are.
