Information for my novel [REDACTED]; Set in pseudo-modern day Canada,a young man wakes up within the morgue, with an unknown voice over the phone leading him to freedom he's soon roped into a life he never wanted. Follows the relationships of a team of agents authorized and owned by the government to defend against Biological Terrors known the world over as ‘Phages’, and fight the corporations that create them through state-legal means. Basic Information;

This is a sideblog [Main blog @augment-duke You can msg there] and the content placed here is wholly dedicated to my novel work, [REDACTED]. I'm posting things here as a way to make my brain say 'They're finished. Stop going back and nitpick editing' la way to force myself to move on, not really a 'want to be noticed' type of... blog. If I do, that's great! If not, then nothing changes \o/ no pressure to me! That's the vibe.

A short summary of the content is;

Set in pseudo-modern day Canada, a young man wakes up within the morgue, with an unknown voice over the phone leading him to freedom he's soon roped into a life he never wanted. Follows the relationships of a team of agents authorized and owned by the government to defend against Biological Terrors known the world over as ‘Phages’, and fight the corporations that create them through state-legal means. While there is a lengthy list of content warnings here, they are spread throughout a broad spanning storyline - with nothing being 'violence for the sake of violence'. Each and all has a reason to the inclusion from start to finish. I will continue to update this pinned post with Single Chapter updates, links to character aspects or art, as well as additional links. [Note; I would include a Master Copy of all of them in once place, but it's unadvised due to the concept of theft. Though I doubt that will happen; Google did delete 3 novels worth of my other manuscript though to feed to AI a few years ago :) so I'm not hoarding it all in once place anymore - one version of the PDFs are hosted there for sharing, but I write offline in Scrivener. - until i can get proper hosting for it]

Edit as of July 2026: All chapters have been taken down as I am Properly Drafting them before putting them up again. No more 'posting draft copies'. It'll take longer between updates, but they'll be the more polished versions.

[Temporary Ch.Files Offline]

Short hand, Over 50% of these chapters I wrote 2+ years ago with at least 4+ months apart on painkillers post surgeries. I'm taking a moment from New-Writing to go back and edit through 1>13 (currently written) to make sure things flow and nothing is missing for the main 'set up' of information. Could take a bit, but this is being posted May 30th 2026, with a goal of full editing being done by the end of June 2026.

Quick references for Alexander and Dietrich [MC and Romantic Lead From Novel work]. Very messy, but most of the general information is here ((Without going into actual spoilers or reasons for them))

There's a literal novel of info about them so this is a bare-bones bits and pieces.

(I could have cleaned them properly but eh this generally gets the point across. More for myself than anything else I suppose)

Of course it's also a Novel so this is just my personal canonization of the written descriptions that my Visual Art Ability can do. There isn't a complete 'correct answer' I'd say. I work better in words than pictures.

Looking at my blocky layout doodles vs a somewhat clean piece makes me hollar. how does this happen. what the hell. I say, knowing full well It was me. I did the magic of zoning out and being gay for a few hours.

"Put it out. Now." Was that anger in his tone? That and something else. Something personal. Hidden away behind black glass - more than professional responsibility to their 'job' - locked in unmoving features as that strong posture loomed to catch in the Tangerine's warm light. No fear rose in response, none of those ingrained habits of a youth buried called to bend at the threat of authority. Not as the vapor wrapped his lungs in sweet freedom. "What, or I'll die? You should learn to live a little. Sir." The word lingered in a tingle across comfortable lips as that misted smoke came in paired exhale, wrapping that disapproving expression in an unnatural sunset. He looked good, handsome even. The thought fled quickly in misted clouds.

A sideblog to @the-leyline-directory -- this is gonna be where I'll be laying out and linking all things related to my novel [REDACTED] for easy sorting. It won't have lots of posts on it other than Chapter Links, Character Art, or General tidbits or aesthetics.

I've been working on this story for a looooong while and I barely talk about it due to my anxieties and fears of sharing my work [blame my family] so this is my attempt to uh... try and do that. I don't expect anything to come of it, but at the least, it's a step in the right direction.
