Twin raised his eyebrow slightly at her response. “From the sssound of it, it ssseemsss like you have experience with it.”

Twin had been relaxing outside his tent with a few other Carnies enjoying a simple game of cards. It was a slower time in the carnival at the moment so he didn’t think anything of it. A smirk came to his face as he watched the others walk of, having lost to the snake-skinned carnie once again. He tucked the cards up his sleeves and took a drink from his flask, exhaling as he felt the burn of the alcohol on his throat. He frowned slightly as he caught a scent that he hadn’t known in years, the scent of those scum from above. He growled slightly and stood, straightening out his jacket. He glanced around and seen someone new wandering around, definitely where heaven’s scent was coming from and if he was right perhaps someone who may have been close to the precious lapdog as well.

“Twin,” she groaned, “I’m sick of everything. There’s nothing I want to do but die.”
He blinked slightly as she said that, worried at her comment. “What?”
“I’m finished with everything. I’m so scared, I’ve been fighting for so long. Please…”
“Dessssssie, I am right here for you and will help you however I can.”

“Dessssssie... I’m not like the othersss. I’ve never broken a promissse to you and that wouldn’t be the poromissse I’d break if I ever did.” He exhaled, knowing he had probably just made it worse.

He rubbed her back as she did. “Sssshh sssshh it'sss alright.” The shifter hated to see his precious angel like this and it just made him want to take on the world to keep her safe. “What were you ssseeing?”

Twin frowned as she did and gently held her in his arms. “Dessssssie, Dessssssie calm down. It'sss me, it'sss Twin.” He whispered, trying to calm her down. “It'sss alright my darling, no one'sss going to hurt you.”
She turned in his arms and buried her face in the hollow of his scaly throat. Her eyes watered still, turning red. “I’m scared….”

Twin smiled a little and walked up behind her quietly and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Hello my angel." He smiled and kissed her cheek gently.
She became a little spooked by the sudden embrace, but when she heard the voice, she calmed. She looked behind and smirked. “Hello, lover.”
“Well, where have you been? Didn’t you miss your angel?”
“Of courssse I did Dessssssie.” He chuckled a little. “Sssadly I’d been asssked to help with ringing in sssome new carniesss.”
Twin smiled a little and walked up behind her quietly and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Hello my angel." He smiled and kissed her cheek gently.
She became a little spooked by the sudden embrace, but when she heard the voice, she calmed. She looked behind and smirked. “Hello, lover.”
He chuckled a little as she said that. “I have certainly missssssed you.”

Sirena ran towards the Twin’s booth, her eyes and fearful. “Twin!! You’ve gotta hide me!” The five year old huuged the shapeshifter’s legs and hid behind them.

She shook her head, the images flashing in her mind. “It’s bad.” At that moment, the Scorpion popped up and Sirena gave a little shriek. He grinned and looked down at her. “You okay, kiddo?”
She glared at him and hid behind the Twin. The Rebel chuckled. “She saw me and Doll together. I think we scarred her.”
“How didn’t I figure out that you might have had a part in thisss.” He commented, frowning at the younger carnie. He gently placed his hand on top of Serina’s head and shook his head. “You both know that when ssshe’sss down here we have to be at leassst a little more decent.”
Sirena nodded in agreement. “Yeah! Lucifer said so!” The Scorpion shrugged. “I didn’t know she was coming. She’s quiet as the grave when she wants to be.”
The shifter glared at him. “True asss that might be you ssshould ssstill know better or at leassst at thisss point be better at hiding it.”
