Boot camp - the evolution
We have ran intensive 6 week style boot camps here at NPC more or less since we started and love doing them. We have always looked to push how hard we get the participants work during the programme and continually look for and try new things to make the course as effective as possible. Whilst we do love the 'beast them' approach to these courses we also think there needs to be a degree of information passed on as well. We have always sent out information with the course and offered extra advice to those that ask but we think we can do better. Going forward we are making the following changes
Extend the course from 6 to 8 weeks - this allows for both more training AND more time for changes to become natural
Dedicate a session each week to group discussion and learning - this will focus on all aspects of the course
Limit the course to 10 participants - this will allow for more one to one help and guidance
Price will include a workbook and MyZone heart-rate monitor
The course will still follow the main premise of what we have always done but from our past experience we know that those that put more work into the learning / education side of the programme get and maintain better results than those that simply turn up for the exercise sessions - especially if the main goal is fat loss. The programme will run Monday to Friday with an option to attend an extra class on a Saturday morning - participants are encouraged to attend as many as possible. The price will be £250 for non-members and £190 for members - this includes:

Up to 5 exercise sessions at NPC per week, each varied and progressive
A course manual and worksheets to help cement what you are learning.
A dedicated learning / discussion session every week.

A detailed and personalised programme to follow upon completion of the course.
We think that the extra content and duration in this new programme along with extras like the MZ-3 belt will really help those looking to make a concerted effort to lose weight, get fitter and boost their health. It should be said though that this course is not a quick fix - we do not believe any course can or should have an 'end date' - we actually see the courses we run (as we always have) as a way to start your weight loss and fitness journey. Anything fast does not last - we've seen it hundreds of times and do not like the way parts of the industry work with this sort of repeat business.
