there are two very, very common arguments i see as to why cgl blogs (and other nsfw blogs in general but especially cgl blogs) shouldnt have to flag their blogs as nsfw. i wanted to go on ahead and address them both in one quick post

1) “tumblr isnt for minors”

actually the terms of service say that tumblr is 13+. in other words, its not adults only.

2) “its still not my job to flag my blog as nsfw”

tumblrs terms of service, the thing you agree to when you use tumblr, say you have to follow the community guidelines as well as the terms of service. and what do the community guidelines say?

they say you must flag your nsfw blogs as nsfw. you can be reported for it otherwise. and just in case that isnt convincing

tumblr has a specific page about nsfw content and how it should be handled on tumblr. it says that if your blog contains nsfw you have to flag it.
