"I find lake Como a boring place, a backwater… Its landscape and dramatic views a consolation which makes one forget about the dullness of its people.
In my room, overlooking the lake, through Virginia’s eyes, I can see the flying moths dancing in the evanescent lights, I can hear the waves breaking on the shore, I can feel the breath of the garden surrounding me.
Sitting at my desk or standing by the window, I close my eyes and I found myself in a secret room where I recall the fading caress of childhood, haunted by the delusions of a lost youth, mixing memories with desires."
