first non-chibi thing of the year, really easing myself into it like 2 months in
it genuinely feels like i forgot everything i ever knew and lived a whole ass lifetime since the last time i drew a normal human person, so i had to ease myself back into it
i need to pick it back up quick tho, cause during those 2 months i kinda got myself into a situation where i really need to crank out some pieces, what with the whole artist alley vendoring thing i ended up coming up with
hey so, first post of the year! crawls out of my hole 2 weeks into january!
i've been cooking some sticker/future keychain designs, so here's batch one! eventually i'd like to draw the full cast lineup, and possibly give them all alt expressions like i did with hiruko
but i've also started signing up for events irl, and i guess for those i should come up with sticker designs from more than like 3 pieces of media
so for now, enjoy these bugs when you lift up a rock looking mfs

this is gonna be a bit of a housekeeping post, so for those of you who don't care for that kind of thing, just know that i'm alive and well (if stressed, but when am i not!) and that there will be more of my nonsense coming your way in 2026, so look forward to it~
and for those of you who can't resist clicking a read more link, let me give you a handful of updates
- first of all, kiiinda reevaluating how i approach posting on socials, since i am in a never ending cycle of toxic dependence on twitter, which, with the latest updates, got even more complicated than before. i'm really bad at keeping up activity on multiple platforms, beyond just popping in to upload finished works. most of my time actually using social media and doomscrolling is spent on twt, maybe a bit more on bsky now that someone made a better for you page. if i'm being real, i mostly pop in here to respond to people, post something new, and see the most recent 5-10 posts that happen to be at the top of my feed when i do that. then again, i'd love to do more. it's just, with how spread out and undecided the 'artist community' (i struggle to use that phrase in all seriousness, i don't think there's any kind of internet artist monolith moving around as a unit), i'm trying to be everywhere, just enough to appear 'active'. more thoughts on that pending
- on the topic of socials, i finally caved and made an art instagram. it was done against my better judgement and with full knowledge that i will probably hate feeding my art to meta, but i sadly need it for what i'd like to do going forward. the idea is to start seriously applying to artist alleys! they seem to be the go to spaces for human artists, with how saturated with ai slop and scammers the online spaces are these days. i could (and probably will at some point) try to do some things online as well, maybe open comms, but i don't know if i have it in me to try and set up a full blown online store cause... that's a lot.
but yeah, the instagram acc! for some reason, i've found that fandom spaces in poland gravitate towards ig as the go to platform for keeping in touch with each other, i've been asked by too many cosplayers if i have ig to keep count anymore, it simply is THE place to be (as much as i'd like for it not to be, not that anywhere else is better really)

there's a whole conversation to be had about this remaster happening, and if it was needed in the first place (it super wasn't), but happy remaster and happy berseria to all who celebrate! let's hope the next remaster they announce is a game that needs it more than the second-newest title 🙏
also, if you have yet to experience this game, you're in for a great adventure 💕 remaster controversy aside, please please please give it a go, the best thing that can come out of this whole mess is getting more eyes on a great piece of fiction, even if what they're calling a remaster should've just been a switch/xbox port
hey so not to sound like a broken record but i've been pretty damn stressed about things lately, and darumi's kind of a natural subject for vent art (if this even counts as that)
also i've been meaning to draw some 100line anyway so
hey chat so i'm stressed and tired and probably moving soon, i don't think i can handle complex tasks too well at the moment with everything else going on
tbh i feel like i kind of rushed this, i'm not really sure if i like it, i would've for sure wanted to spend more time on it - but i'm also doing that thing where you feel like you have to post something or your whole online presence will crumble if you're gone too long

when i first started trying to figure out a style for drawing chibis, i told my partner i'd eventually make him a proper sticker/keychain design of his fave, well this is my newest attempt
velvet why do you have so many design elements, lord of calamity more like lord of belt buckles ffs
i guess i'm just on a never ending quest to come up with a chibi style that works for me
i keep thinking that it'd be so cool to table at cons and then i get caught up on the thought of 'yeah but you don't fucking know how to draw chibis!!!' and then the struggle begins
the other day i realized tho, my issue is exaggerated by something really dumb
the chibis i like the most when i browse other people's stuff are the kind that would just plain NOT WORK with my style
i'm the 'get bogged down working on details for 15 hours only to emerge with mysterious injuries and a haunted look on my face' kind of artist, so whatever chibi style i land on needs to still have room for detail
i feel like i could've skipped like 50% of the struggle time if i just accepted that i'll never pull off the super clean linework shapey simplified chibi style, i need to let myself do my sparkly bullshit or i'll never be happy with anything, cause i'll be bothered by there being no embellishments
idk man, all this to say, i need to struggle with this some more so i can emerge victorious, cause i REALLY want to try and table at artist alleys and make silly keychains and shit
