Important question? About Google Translate

I know Google has been relying a lot on ai, especially generative ai, but I'm wondering if Google translate scrapes images submitted into it?

Cause if it's just using ai to translate words and that's it, then that's one thing, but if it's scraping the images as a whole then that's a problem.

I'm asking because I have relied on Google translate but if it's scraping the images put into I don't want to keep using it.

I was trying to find an alternative, but It was difficult.

I'm also trying to do more research, but I do struggle with the lingo...I just don't want to contribute to artist work being stolen and fed to ai, but I also want a free, easy to use translator.
