you said "tukutz ignored as always" does he write lyrics as well? I didn't know that!

As far as I’m aware, Tukutz doesn’t write lyrics. However, his role as Epik High’s producer and DJ plays an immense role in shaping the group’s core musical identity, i.e. hip-hop - this can be seen by how the only ‘hip-hop’ track on Tablo’s solo album, Fever’s End, is the one featuring Tukutz.

Apart from producing tracks, Tukutz’s other participations include: singing the chorus in 사진첩 (Photo Album) and Girl Rock, and rapping in 전자깡패 (Electronic Gangster) (not sure why I haven’t translated this yet) though he didn’t actually write the lyrics. He also danced on stage for Fan (he was a b-boy before joining Epik High).

By the way, he has written lyrics before, but not for Epik High - he wrote a rap version of the army song during his enlistment (creating many antis who joined the army after him and had to rap out loud during their morning runs).

who's your fave lyricist between Tablo and Mithra?

It’s not surprising to learn that Tablo is basically regarded as the top lyricist in Korea both in terms of success and artistry, and dubbed the ‘punchline king’. He is extremely sharp and clever with his words - not to mention bilingual - with many considering his lyrics to be works of literature (he is an author, after all). Tablo’s such prowess often tends to overshadow Mithra’s, but Mithra himself has produced some excellent verses (Decalcomanie, The Future, 당신의 조각들 (Pieces of You), Breathe - just to mention a few).

My favourite though? I like them both, equally - Tablo writes poetry while Mithra writes essays. Both are works of art.

• first fandom to write fanfics: club h.o.t

• first fandom to write boyxboy fanfics: yellowkies (formerly known as d.s.f)

• first group to use official colors: h.o.t

• h.o.t fans scratched and vandalized sechskies’ van, so sechskies fans poked holes in the h.o.t van tires for revenge

• sechskies almost debuted under the name yukgaejang (a spicy beef stew type of food). a random producer saved them from their miserable future.

• sechskies’ official colors were originally red and yellow, later changed to just yellow

• whenever h.o.t held concerts, half the population of most female high schools skipped school that day

• a fan came up to jaeduk of sechskies with a bloody nose to tell him that she fought with 3 h.o.t fans and won. he was very proud

• when sechskies first debuted, they were the team w the most members in one team with 6 members. so talk show hosts would freak the fuck out when they saw how many there were

• h.o.t fans couldn’t get into the broadcast station to watch their oppas perform bc there were too many of them. Kept pushing on the metal gates, the gates tore down, and the fans pretended to be sechskies fans by starting to sing sechskies’ couple to avoid issues

• their DNAs were sold in little plastic bottles made into necklaces i shit u not. they took actual hair/skin/nail samples from the members

• dsp media (formerly known as daesung ent) faked album sales of sechskies to not pay as much tax. got exposed, had to pay a fine ((that piece of shit company))
