Back on the road again…this time with new travel buddies. Getting acquainted with #metro On The Move Riders program - educating & helping older adults navigate through the Metro transit system. Visited the historic icon #launionstation MetroLA HQ and historic #olverastreet for some shopping & yummy eats. Great to have my HS classmate Billie (SLGHS71) along for the adventure. Good company, good eats & got my 9K steps. Finished the day with my first 10K after a 2hr senior snooze 😴. This senior body was sore & tired but at the end of day, I felt so blessed. After so many years, finally captured them in the act of #neighborhood #kindness This dynamic duo on their daily walk patrolling, picking up litter & abandoned shopping carts along the way. We have #superheroes living in our neighborhood. We are so honored with their presence. A great workout day to one of my many happy places @metrolosangeles HQ for On The Move Riders #travelbuddy meeting. Riding on the J Line (formerly Silver Line) bus to #launionstation - was a breeze thru the 110freeway morning gridlock. Needed a sweet reward after all those steps 😉Thanks to the great rave reviews on social media Carson411 - I decided to try out a new local business @benscoopsicecream Enjoyed my sweet reward immensely. My FIRST full size decorated Xmas tree 🎄since 2005. Holidays were never the same after. Decided this year to bring back those holiday feelings & create new memories. Around midnight this POS stole our #ring security sign off our front lawn. What in wacky doodle name was he going to use that sign? 🤬Stinky our night guard just went on a break minutes before the petty theft happened.
