So, how I found my style!☆
First, I've identified the era I'm focusing on. this is very important, because I need to understand what to rely on! Especially in the beginning, the choice of substyle helps. It helps you understand what you want: to be bold or sweet, bright or modest. When I have decided, I look at various magazines of the chosen era, I look at makeup and gyaru's look. Did you like some outfit? try to implement it! Maybe you have similar clothes, as in the outfit☆
Important note: Find a model to look up to! I ignored this advice at first, but as soon as I started following it, my look improved! You can have several models: one for makeup, another for clothing. The main thing is that they’re from the same era and complement each other.
The second item is makeup! You need to figure out what you like and what suits you. Maybe it's lighter makeup and pale skin, or maybe it's lush eyelashes and a tan? It's up to you! You can experiment with the makeup and try all the different things. Watch magazines, tutorials on YouTube or blogs of experienced gyaru.
Next, the clothes. This is no less important! It is important to consider the styles, colors, and prints of clothing from the chosen era. I want to pay attention to accessories and clothing styling, it complements the look very much! Earrings, belts, rings, bracelets, necklaces, and all that will help you create an outfit well. You don't need to buy everything, but long thought won't save you. Think about what the chosen clothing/accessory can be combined with, whether it fits the era/substyle.
I also want to mention hairstyles. Yes, this is not the most important point, but it often saves. You can make curls, combs, pigtails, ponytails, and more. But, of course, you don't always want to sweat it out and just walk around with straight hair. Well, then try to change the parting, pin up some strands with hairpins and stuff~ Personally, it's much more convenient for me to vibe with my bangs and short front strands in this regard, but, of course, this may not suit many.
In general, I believe that a lot is solved by trial and mistakes! So don't worry if the coord and makeup didn't turn out the way you wanted right away~ Practice is needed here☆
