this frame of the catmens room from the Christmas special "Everything is Going Wrong" is really interesting to me in its timeline implications for nyon.
The flag on the far right is clearly the flag of the Soviet Union. The placement is a bit strange, but im assuming that's just a style choice to keep it in frame.
This might be a reach, but the tank toy (to me) looks like a simplified T-34, which was produced for the Soviet Union from 1940 to 1958.
My personal theory is that nyon was a soviet soldier killed in battle anywhere from the 1940s-1950s and brought back to life by luther and given a new body and name (we've already seen him doing it to Sebastian so it makes sense in cannon). The process either froze him in his 20s or he ages very slowly (which is why Nyen is roughly the same age despite being from different time periods)
I feel like post-war Nyon has been desensitized to gore and violence, but he doesn't want to enact it unless instructed by a higher authority (why he tried to help the ratmen escape in lucid).
I dont think he enlisted understanding just how brutal war would be. Maybe he enlisted at the request of someone he loved. Maybe he felt he had no choice. either way, he was killed in battle after seeing horrors beyond comprehension that still haunt him to this day. Nightmares, flashbacks, and pain only a blunt can dull, but he will never fully forget what he's seen, what he's done.

Most villains become villains out of hatred, injustice, greed, or to indulge in their nature. But, one must dare say that Tosho became a villain out of love; twisted and abhorrent, but love all the same.

She has always been the meeker one of her siblings, too scared and too desperate to speak up for the sake of peace within this house. But she was Enji's daughter, a man who's Hero's name was Endeavour.
In truth she was a lot more like him than many would realize. Their perfectionist need to overwork themselves, their need to fix things, and their need to see their kin thrive.
So, when she realized her father's and the Hero Society's failures, after having spent 4 years in a paralyzed state within the facility, breaking out, and coming back home and realized nothing changed,
She decided to tear the entire everything down in order to wean society from relying on Heroes, using her father and his agency as examples.
I’m just going to say this directly, since I don’t know if there will ever be a fanfic about this.
Fuyumi believes that by physically and mentally breaking Enji, she can force him to confront his sins and ultimately redeem himself. She does this by targeting his sidekicks, members of his agency, and especially Shoto Todoroki.
Tōshō tends to be “merciful” toward U.A.’s students, but she will still maim or cripple them to force them into quitting. However, she is quite sadistic toward the Pro Heroes, often killing/crippling them in humiliating open ways.
She wants society to doubt the competency and reliability of heroes, which is why she embraced the identity as a villain, to spread doubt and brew distrust with every loss and exposure of past sins.
She has a strange savior complex. I don’t think she has ever truly forgiven Enji or even Touya, but she cannot fully hate them either, because they are her family. So instead, she leans entirely into her love for them and punishes them in the name of that love.
Ironically, even as a villain, Tōshō cannot escape being a daughter, a caretaker, and a sister. She is still bound by filial piety and by Fuyumi’s desire for a repaired family, trying to reconcile the family she once believed they could be.
ive always liked them since that sleepover minigame where aphmau invited zane over and i think laurence is like “okay but why leave when u can spend the night killing the guy u hate most” right before zane enters. that and the s5 minigames where gene shows up and just complains about how depressing his life is.

I felt horrible when he died. I almost cried. He's a massive comfort character and I yumeship with him. This scene traumatised me and I know it's stupid but I don't think he deserved it. I would say the same things, I do when I'm stressed or worried.
