I go out with guys I know I’m not going to like because I think maybe he’ll surprise me and it’s not like I’m going to fall in love or have a great night watching The Office in bed, so why not?? And you know what, I’ve come home from a date plenty of times and thought I don’t care if I ever see that guy again, or worse- I know I’m never going to see that guy again, but hey, I went to a restaurant I’ve never been to before or hey, I tried a new drink I’ve never had before. Nothing’s ever a waste. Doing new things and meeting people and putting yourself out there is never a waste. Watching your life go by in the reflection of a black TV screen is a waste.
