Would you recommend any of the various anime adaptations of Glass Mask? And if so, which one(s)? I don't like reading manga, sadly...

I recommend all of them! Each one has their own charm and it's interesting to see how differently they play out even though it's the same story

The 2005 adaptation follows the manga the closest, it's also the longest one with 51 episodes

The 1998 OVA has beautiful animation, the three episodes condense the beginning of Glass Mask making it a good intro

The original 1984 anime adaptation is iconic, the story moves quite quickly but only has 20 odd episodes I believe (I love Maya's voice in this one!)

The manga has chapters that go beyond the anime so keep in mind there is more story after the anime adaptations!
