        “Wait!” His ball had ended up in            the middle of the street, and Rowan            had decided to scream at it for it to            stop. Obviously it didn’t, and now            Rowan had to carefully step into the            street to try and get his ball back.

         “Oh,” there’s a saddened air             surrounding him now. “Are you             really sure?” He’s desperate to             get a family, but it seemed Josiah             was correct; nobody would ever              adopt him.

           “I don’t care. You’re a friend of Josiah, and I                don’t like you!” His words were meant to be                hurtful. He wouldn’t let himself get caught in                another trap.

             “Don’t call me that.” Though her joke                   only frustrated him. “My name is Iggy.”                   He wouldn’t let her get under his skin,                   so instead of staying with her-- he’d go                   back to his room to brood.

             “It’s none of your business.” Iggy wanted                  nothing to do with her. He feared, though                  silently, that she would use her position                  just like Josiah did. “Leave me alone.”

      rowan is very shy, very kind, and very timid.       He always ( tries ) to listen to what Josiah has to say, but normally never does them correctly (whether it be because he’s dumb or because of Iggy’s influence). He tends to mess up a lot.
