toiki was is and will forever be THAT kinda song
there is not a single skippable song from jatp. this is nonnegotiable.
Going to bed knowing Youngjae is booked and busy
Someone convince me I don't need 7 copies of the same album
This song belongs in every single trendy clothing store in the world. This beat is groovy af.
Because I don't pay attention to anything outside my scope of current obsessions I completely forgot about Exo's comeback and only remembered it when I saw Hyungwon's challenge
And all I can say is Cream Soda is their cuntiest song yet and will be replacing Overdose as best tt
I’m the biggest got7 “anti” and also the biggest fan. If you play Out in the car I’m smashing the brakes and physically kicking you out of it, then I’ll play Pray as I drive away
I feel very, very bored of kpop performances. I was watching the MAMA 2021 4th generation performance and I just felt nothing. From the beginning I knew it was going to be posturing, unexciting songs and remixes, repetitive and unoriginal choreography, sexy facial expressions, big energetic movements leading up to nothing, and almost no individuality. Everyone danced in the same way, even if some danced better than the others - no one really had their own flair. I feel like Yeji surpassed the other performers, but even her part wasn’t very exciting. Yeonjun did the classic floor “dive” move; Hyunjin was half facial expressions; Karina did whatever; etc.
I also watched Itzy’s performance and as much as I love them, it wasn’t it… The part with the detective and Ryujin kicking ass was cool, but the beginning was just them staring sexily at the cameras flanked by backup dancers dressed embarrassingly, imo, as sexy kittens; then came lip syncing… They didn’t even dance that hard, why couldn’t they sing? Had they danced hard, they still should’ve sang; that’s why they get mics - they aren’t fucking accessories. The MITM performance had a tiny, very bland, dance break and more lip syncing. Was the performance entertaining? Sure. But it was empty and disappointing anyway. If idols had actually interesting choreography instead of the same dance moves and a staring contest with the cameras during the “dance breaks”, all of these performances wouldn’t look the fucking same. Oh, and live singing would be nice too. I don’t care if the choreography is hard. If they practiced singing and dancing they would probably get there, and there’s nothing wrong with not dancing much while singing or sounding a little bit off and breathless.

It really bothers me when people talk about how every singer is apparently lip syncing. Like, they do realize that singing well is their job? They work on their vocals so that they can sing them consistently because it’s what they DO! They aren’t some random person singing in the shower or occasionally at karaoke night. It’s what they do for a living. When they aren’t performing and promoting they’re either resting or preparing to continue DOING THEIR JOB.
I’m not saying that they never lip sync, but when you go on about a vocal sounding exactly like the studio or another performance, it’s like… that’s the point? They should be able to sing like their studio if they were singing in a comfortable range for them.
You think they go up on stage every night and pretend to sing? They wanted to be there, actually singing. For lots of them that was their dream! Unless they’re doing a complicated dance routine and still sounding perfect, they’re probably not faking it. Even then. They train for it.
Tl;dr : Singers deserve to be recognized for the hard work they put in to give us amazing performances with live vocals
i used to get upset that so many pop artists dont write their own songs i thought it was inauthentic etc. but now i am v much realizing that if we consider singing as performance then its the same as an actor still being a good actor even if they dont write their script. also as someone who writes and produces, it is really really hard to write songs that have meaning and are good on a deadline basis. and also, many pop artists just dont have interesting enough things to say on their own. sometimes they do but in the interest of a consistently high quality body of work you are probably statistically better off having a team to at least look over or contribute to your songs
I really don’t even know if I’ll end up surviving or not hahahahah
kpoppies have brain damage but ppl acting like western entertainment isnt doing the exact same thing in regards to exploiting or controlling young artists are hilarious. like. its just music thats in korean thats the only difference.
Trying to sneak GOT7 songs in between my 80′s playlist so I can hypnotise the neighbours
i’m not saying i’d freak out if blonde!youngjae made a comeback but like….maybe that’s exactly what i’m saying
My absolute love for Just Right never falters
