Crazy to me that they don’t actually talk about will’s journey outside of the Mac-z scene. Even then it’s very vague and mostly Noah actually talking about it. Not a mention of his and robin’s relationship unless it’s mentioned in a part I didn’t fully watch lmao. Not even a little bit of the day they filmed his coming out. Insane since it was supposedly a central theme in the season and a huge part of his personal climax????

#I mean obviously I haven’t fully watched the whole thing #but I did skim the whole thing and watched a couple of the scenes that looked like they were more about the characters rather than filming/#cgi logistics. and there was barely anything about the actual STORY #no explainations of choices they made #I’m going to watch it fully tomorrow and maybe there’s something more. but until then #how are you not going to talk about half of the driving force of your narrative #stranger things

Having a queer character believe he won't find love and proving him right is not good writing.

Having a character grow up in solitary confinement and then ripping her away from the only family she's ever known to live a life of solitude once again is not good writing.

Having a character be in love with his best friend and then just compare it to a high school crush is not good writing.

Having Eleven say that Mike has always been the person who truly understood her after showing us in the previous seasons that he only sees her as a superhero IS NOT GOOD WRITING.

Having two girls be abused by a man with power for the majority of their lives only to leave them dead and alone as a direct consequence of the trauma they suffered IS VILE WRITING

Fun plot point I would love to revisit, is how the military clearly knew El was connected to the Byers family (raiding California house) and yet non of them are monitored at all in Hawkins despite them knowing that El is ALSO back in Hawkins
