i feel like i’m going to have three different stranger things verses for care:

the first is the just, normal human au. caroline just being someone who grew up there, etc. etc. going through similar things, while also dealing with the upside down.

then there’s that, but she is turned into a vampire along the way sometime. and then having to balance it out, and having to figure out which is worse: her newfound bloodlust or the creatures from the upside down.

and then there’s the au i thought of today. caroline’s story the way it is in tvd canon, except set in the 80s. but at some point, caroline had to leave mystic falls, and found herself in hawkins--only to eventually get captured by brenner and his organization. caroline having been a prisoner in the lab, and eventually escaping either at the beginning of season 1 or the end of s2
