hello fellow non-Black tumblr users. welcome to my saw trap. if you'd like to leave, please name one (1) Black woman author who is not Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, bell hooks, Octavia Butler, or N.K. Jemisin. bonus points if she's published a book in the last five years.
For my own future reference, and for anyone else who wants it, a list of authors mentioned in the notes. (I cannot promise this is comprehensive, there are a lot of reblogs and I might have missed some.) I've included a link for each author, where possible I've tried to find one that leads you to their books, prioritising own websites/publishers, falling back on wikipedia otherwise.
If you find any mistakes in the links let me know and I'll edit. This post will be in two parts, because I literally broke tumblr with how many authors there were. I think it's about a hundred and fifty.

I love ttrpgs. Animated tokens I made for my campaign character last session.
I really like your gyaru and catholic mecha girls, I can lowkey see them kissing by clanking their muzzles together
Thank yoooou I'm so tempted to divert attention away from my current project to draw this one. They would absolutely infuriate each other it would be so fun.
If I have my way you'll definitely see more of the "catholic" one at some point!
hi, a lot of you need a perspective reset
the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big

I don't remember latex knight,,, can I get a link??
Here she is! It's been a bit since I posted her https://www.tumblr.com/obliviasart/803026298310115328/a-little-latex-knight-warmup?source=share
Y'all remember latex knight? Well have a lace knight. Maybe I'll make them kiss, who knows
its not funny but i do think about it a lot
This made me think about this panel from Calvin and Hobbes:
But unlike the adult in this strip, Calvin’s dad actually APOLOGIZED for yelling at him when he saw how guilty his kid was:
Example #1726473 why I will never stop telling people how important Calvin and Hobbes was to me growing up. Kids need this shit, they need to be shown that it's normal to make mistakes sometimes and that adults should be able to recognize and apologize when they treat their kids unfairly in response.

for anyone curious she is not a princess!!! though she might act like one sometime :3c
