I had spontaneously realized that i still hadn't told much about Vail yet, so. Yeah. Making an info post... mostly for myself. If you havent seen them yet, their ref is here.

Game-wise Vail is a bonus Purveyor, an optional boss like in some games i saw... Occupying the old San Romero factory, Vail would mostly spend his time in solitude there. His main power would be the ability to control cables and wires around the territory, and partial electricity(?). The battle between him and Juliet would mostly consist of her chasing after Vail into the depths of the building while avoiding cables, failing to do so would result in a QTE for a buttonmash to get out of the binds. Yes like tentacles. Yes this was intentional. The main fight would be something similar to GLaDOS, where Juliet has to chainsaw down cables holding him up, avoiding a laser from time to time, and try not to get too close, lest she'd get whipped by Lesson In Love. After falling he'd be finished off and the battle ends with a total power off across the facility.
Speaking of behavior, it's quite obvious by now that Vail is a pervert freak, but adding to that, she's also assertive, cool-headed, and daring. She may play dumb to get stuff done for her, but don't let it cloud your vision, she's smarter than she lets on. Vail loves to order people around and the feeling of being in control, (considering that she's... well.. the The Industrial Commander). She's also horribly self-assured, no insult could penetrate through the thick layer of her vanity. Her second favorite thing after fiddling with machinery is teasing, and she wouldn't miss a chance to hit on anyone who she deems worthy of her attention. Which is... honestly not that hard. Were talking about a whore robot zombie here. Nerves of steel (pun intended), as it takes a lot of time to annoy her, with the result being likely a violent outburst and at least one choked passerby. Or just a snarky comment if she's feeling peaceful. For a negative, she's quite dismissive of other's private space and boundaries if it gets in the way of her entertainment, but one blunt command might back her off. Might.
Their biggest dream is total robot takeover. Humans suck, whats even the point of living as a meat and bone bag? I'd be much happier being a robot leader. Or their pet, you know. I'd even get a fully metallic shell if i had enough material...
And it will take a whole separate paragraph to tackle the question of their identity. I wouldn't reveal their biological gender, as it wasn't exactly relevant to them throughout their life. Not feeling like either male nor female, it was only a matter of time after the zombification that they'd chop off everything below and replace it with a mechanism i might explain later, if i make a post about their body... maybe. Im just very enthusiastic thinking about specifications in the subject of freaky biology, okay? They present as male or female depending on context, but in daily life prefer to stay ambiguous. Pronouns are also a pain in the ass, as Vail might change them every hour out of boredom, sometimes even in the middle of sentences, so it's generally easier to pick any random one when addressing them. But they seem to be favoring Them and It the most. To sum it up, they have Every gender, but also No gender.
Other fun facts i wasn't sure where to put:
- The cables attached to its head are also controllable, sometimes used as a pick-me-up to jolt electricity into itself.
- It's easier to list It's turn-offs than turn-ons.
- It doesn't have a digestive system or a heart, so it doesn't have to eat. Living solely off of electricity.
- It has removed its own vocal cords and replaced them with a controllable voicebox, the dials on its neck are for high/low voice, and loudness. But the ranges of the voices it can do and mimic is way wider. One day I'll do a voiceclaim vid istg
- Has a slight limp, having cut off its own leg, but still haven't learned how to move with a mechanical replacement. So most of the time it prefers to be moved by cables than walk by itself.
- Objectum, strong attraction towards heavy industrial machinery. Finds most appeal in spring-making machines. But sees anything out of metal at least a little hot.
