He smirks at her, âDonât worry, sweetie. Iâm good at swallowing when Iâm told to.â
He takes the medicine, steeling himself against the bitter taste. He grimaces, but feels a weird, uncomfortable sort of sensation run through him as the medicine seems to work through his body. Takuya spares a moment to realize that theyâre still sitting on the floor in front of the bar. Theyâre garnering a few curious glances, so he gets up with a wince and leans against the bar, trying to act as if his arm doesnât feel like itâs going to tear in half and his stomach isnât going to implode on him.
âI suppose if weâre going to be getting nice and intimate like this, we should probably introduce ourselves. Iâm Takuya.â He tilts his head and sticks his hand out with a gentle flourish for her to shake.
âWhatâs your name, sweetie?â
Sooah simply laughs at the strangerâs statement, hiding her smile behind her hand. âI have no fighting abilities, Iâm not going to just throw myself in a losing battle. Thatâs a little foolish, donât you think?â The girl shakes her head with a small smile, as if punctuating the sentence with an unbelieving, yet amused, tone.
She can see that the wound in his arm is⌠not comfortable. The blood that continues to pour from the gash leaving a trail of rose coloured liquid down his arm. Worry buds within her at how nonchalant and uncaring the stranger seems to be towards the wounds, as if s he has an affinity towards pain. Maybe thatâs her herbs working, but she canât quite tell just yet. Sheâs just glad that he manages to eat her herbs, despite the disgustingly bitter taste it brings to the tongue, but itâs the most effective at pain relief she has and no matter how many time she tries to change its taste, she only seem to make it worse.
As she reaches for more of her herbs in her purse, she turns her head to stare at the man when an innuendo leaves his lips. She is somewhat perplexed yet unmoved by the sudden statement that greets her ears. âIs that so? Thatâs good then. Your mother mustâve been proud.â A smile trails across her features, laughter leaving her lips once more, unaware of the weight her statement can cause.
Her mind is still too focused on the wound that covers his arm. She is still unsure what kind of supernatural (if he is one) this man is, just so she can make sure she gives him the most effective medicine she has in her purse and be done with it. She never like seeing people covered in so much red, especially the clear discomfort that would contort their face. Sooah canât bear it.
When he sees her patient standing up, a look of worry immediately erases all trace of a smile from her face, her hand immediately linking around the other manâs arm, aware of the wound, and a hand to his chest to support him. Sheâs a little frustrated at the sudden movement the stranger made, though she tries not to show it.
âMoving with an injury like that? Youâre quite a smart one arenât you.â She says, barely repressing the worry that covers her tone. She only processes the words that leaves his lips once she has a steady footing, tucking her purse underneath her arm, before turning to look up at the ( actually really tall ) man.
âName?â she only realises how important introducing herself should have been before helping him, suddenly feeling a little guilty at the possible discomfort she might have caused the stranger to feel upon her arrival. âMy name is Han Soo Ah,â She beams, âItâs a pleasure to meet you. Now, could you please tell me where you are planning to go? Iâd like to see to that wound on your arm as soon as possible.â

[ ⌠]
He collapses against the door as soon as he makes it outside. It was a good five minute endeavor to exit a building it took very little effort to get into. As he slides down the door, bracing himself for the inevitable shock to his abdomen once he hits the ground.
His bracing didnât work and he groans into the phone which has made it back to his ear in a very not smooth motion.
âNoona I hope youâre close⌠Takuyaâs gonna be so mad.â
At this point all Sangmin can do is wait. Wait and feel the rhythmic hammer strikes of pain in his chest and abdomen.
She knows itâs reckless to go out in the middle of the night like this, especially during such a dangerous time for the town. But when that phone rings she made an oath to herself to never let anyone down, because she may be the last line of help they have. Her determination is the only thing that fuels her as she runs along the path leading to where her friend needs her. As she makes her way, she canât help but think about the consequences of her recklessness â she could just be another body count in the middle of this whole massacre. She could become useless.
âOkay Iâm almost there, stay with me Sangmin.â She pants into her phone, banishing those thoughts from the crevices of her mind to quicken her pace especially when a distinguishable grunt echoes from her phone. Panic sets in.
What if heâs losing too much blood to the point she canât recover it? What if heâs lost a limb and heâs just waiting for septic shock to come in before he dies? What if another of those hunter is already there before her and â Sooah shakes her head, pushing the thoughts away when her eyes finally sets on the man sheâs been desperately looking for.
A mixture of relief and disbelief rush in all at once as she approaches him, shifting back into her human appearance as fast as possible. âSangmin!â Sooah puts her phone away and slides to his side, her hands going over the visible red stains on his clothing. âGods, what did they do to you?â She breathes, a wave of anger brewing steadily inside her. For the first time in a while, she is struggling to keep a level head as she inspects the injuries under the poorly lit street. He looks pale, and the wounds on him looks like something she canât help with what little she has in her satchel.
âSangmin? I need you to do me a favour and stay awake as much as you can.â Hanah tries to give him a reassuring smile as she reaches inside her bag, pulling out a pain relieving herb and presses it against the manâs lips as she pours some of her magic into it. âHere, eat this.â
Thereâs so much she needs to do. She needs light, first of all, and she needs to know what kind of weapon hurt him, whether that weapon was poisoned or any bullets that might have lodged somewhere in his body. Thereâs so much to do and so little time. A bead of sweat rolls down between her brows, it frustrates her how little she has but she doesnât let it show.
âLets get you back to my place first,â She tells him, wrapping a bandage across what wounds she could see in the darkness, âIt wonât be safe to do anything here.â

On the ground is not really how Takuya anticipated spending his Friday night.
He looked up at the sudden voice speaking to him. It was gentle, almost unfitting in the setting. âYeah, and better that they did. They may not have made it out of here had they stayed much longer.â
Her next words surprised him. And annoyed him a little, honestly. Takuya didnât want to accept her help. He hated the thought, and he hated it even more since she was being soâŚcloyingly sweet about it. But this knife wound was probably not gonna just disappear on its own, and it hurt like a bitch. He could at least get her to give him some drugs, maybe.
He reached up to the counter above him, grabbing the bottle of whiskey he had been getting ready to put away earlier and taking a swig from it before settling back on the ground. He gestured to the gash on his arm, gritting out the words with as little sarcasm as he could muster. âSure, honey, if you think you can help. Go ahead, I suppose.â
âYou make yourself sound like youâre a the strong one when youâre just sitting here on the ground.â She laughs again, an attempt to lighten the mood.
Her patient reminds her of so many of the men she saw back when she was with Aequitas, that arrogant -- Iâm the strongest -- attitude that never fail to make her nostalgic. She didnât like it when she first encountered it, but as the years went by she grew fond of it. They remind her of little kids trying to impress their parents. Sooah cuts the thought -- sheâs not that old yet. Without wasting any more time her eyes scans the strangerâs body, finding areas of prominent injuries -- like his bleeding arm -- and the telltale signs of abdominal pain.
Sooah was a little surprised at how easily he seems to move despite the injuries heâs obtained, sheâs beginning to think that she have over-estimated his injuries for a moment. When she catches a glimpse of what heâs drinking ( straight out of the bottle? is that even allowed? ) she reels for a second remembering the strong taste of the drink, before focusing back on to her work. In her purse were a variety of herbs, enough to do some emergency healing, but probably not enough for a more severe wound -- that would have to depend on him.
She tugs at a couple of leaves and holds it in her palm for a second, focusing her magic to enhance its pain-relieving properties that result in a soft glow as her eyes scan the bigger wound on the manâs arm.
âFirst things first, are you a supernatural?â She begins as her palms rub together against the leaves, its smell strong enough to break between the alcoholic scent flowing through the bar. The smell itself should help with the pain, though the difference wonât be very obvious. âDonât worry, your secretâs safe with me,â she gives him a reassuring smile, âweeellll, only if you promise to eat this in one go.â She presents the small leaves to him, the same smile still plastered across her features. She finds that these sort of âthreatâ always works on people without much repercussion -- most of the time.
âI can promise that it tastes sweet!â She lies.

The thing seemed to be coated in some sort of poison though, judging by the stabbing pains in his chest and the really fuzzy vision. And Sangmin has no idea of what to do with poison other than suck it out of wounds?? Thatâs what you do with poison right?
Naturally Hanah was the best choice to call. Its totally not because she is his only choice in this situation. If Takuya knew he got hurt while hunting it would be a lecture about how he shouldnât be hunting, and the destruction of the building it happened in.
Sangmin hears the sounds of the phone ringing, so itâs going through at least.
âNoona? Hey⌠Uh⌠Yeah itâs been a while. Iâm okay.â
He groans as a shot of pain hits him.
âWell really Iâm not okay. Please help me.â
âNoona, are you there?â
Sooah is just about to head to bed when she hears her phone buzzing on her bedside table. Her old Nokia phone, one that only few people know of. She immediately sits up on her bed before reaching for her phone frantically and lets her eyes glaze over the name shining against the light before she presses answer.
She tries her best not to roll her eyes.
âAh, Sangmin. How nice to hear your voice. How are you?â She begins, a look of â Iâm so done with your shit â plastered on to her features.
This is not the first time sheâs received a phone call from the young man. When she first joined Aequitas, he was the most frequent voice she heard over the phone. It almost became a daily routine back then and she could almost predict the exact time heâd be calling her. After she left she thought she would rarely hear the boyâs voice again. She thought wrong.
âDonât tell me you scraped your knees again?â An exasperated sigh punctuates her sentence as she settles back into her bed, âListen, I know it hurts a lot but youâre a big boy now anââ A sound that rings through her ears makes her mouth stop moving. Unease creeps slowly at her thoughts before genuine concern finally sets in. âSangmin?â
Finally alert, she wastes no time to hop out of her bed to grab her satchel, âSangmin, tell me where you are. How badly are you hurt? Iâm leaving my house right now. Listen,â Her words were fast and rehearsed as she stuffs her bag with whatever herbs she could before she steps out of her house, not bothering to lock the door, âDo not hang up on me. Iâm on my way.âÂ
With that, she shifts into her rabbit form and begins to run despite not knowing where the boy was. Whatever she does, she needs to get there fast.

@obsxten
Sooah was never good at protecting, but she is good at maintaining. Ever since the beginning of the gruesome âexhibitionâ it has lead to more work for her, be it preparing some tea that would relieve the stress crossing the peopleâs mind, or busy patrolling in the street to help any unfortunate souls that might have scraped too close to death.
On this particular night she finds herself hiding once more, but this time she is accompanied by one of her patients. He is a fae, a terribly injured one at that, and sheâs juggling between two focuses as they merge with the darkness â the chasers, and the health of the young man in her arms. The day started like it usually does, with Sooah wandering the streets on the look out for peopleâs voice ( or screams ) and the trace of iron in the air accompanied by her satchel stashed with all sorts of herbs, ready to help whenever she can.
When she found the fae, she realises quickly that he was being chased and was in hiding, Sooah didnât hesitate for a second to stop and help the fallen man, assuring that he would survive. Shielded with only her herbs in her satchel, the only weapon she possesses is her patience and strong will. She will not let this young man die here, not after she finally got here just in the nick of time.
A cold sweat breaks out when she hears footsteps nearing. Itâs hard to see the details of the silhouette amidst the darkness as the figure nears. She stays still, eyes focusing and her mind racing a million thoughts at once. Without realising it, her voice rings out in the obscurity -- a bad move.
âTake one more step and I will maul you to death.â She threatens. Her voice is surprisingly stern despite the nervousness shaking her body, âI wonât let you harm the boy any further.â She knows her threats are empty, but she decides that she will not go down without a fight.

-- unfortunate fate
@obsxeunae
Today was an exciting day for her. A day with her wonderful friend to relieve the stress that just started to creep in on her. She realise how much toll it would have on her mind when she settled on this line of duty and a break is always needed. She thinks about the day she will retire, but the smiles and small thank yous always make those thoughts disappear without a single trace.
There was an exchange of time and location days prior to today, yet somehow, for the first time in a while, Sooah was left waiting in a small park. Seated on the bench, she picks up her phone while she relishes in the smell of freshly mowed grass.
Eunae â¤đ : Hi! Iâm at the park now, I realise I might be a little early. Are you okay? Please call me if anything happened! xx - S
Once she presses send, a shudder of horror set in. She recognise too late what it is and before she knows it, she is on her feet and running as fast as she can away from the danger. Sheâs been in this situation once, but this time she is completely alone without a single person in sight -- how did they even sneak up on her? But her feet are not fast enough and she was already running low on stamina by the time they caught up to her. A strong hand manages to get a hold of her. Before she could understand what happened to her, something sharp slices against her abdomen.
A small yelp and the sight of blood was what made her shift into her were-rabbit form â a little bigger than your typical wild bunny, but not so big that it overwhelmed her perpetrators. She needs to get away from this situation. She kicks and runs as fast as she can, taking shelter behind a large tree that hid her far too well despite her size. Blood continues to pour from her wound, but she will not rest easy until those perpetrators were out of her sight.

@obsjeongguk
These threats that have been going around makes Sooah restless. It wasnât her safety that concerned her, it was the safety of those she loved. What if one day one of the kids from her neighbourhood disappears over night? What if her friends chose to go out and found dead the next morning? If she had been there, that kid might have been alive, her friends might have been alive. If Sooah was there, nobody had to die ( or suffer a painful death ).
With determination that set her body in motion, she spends her days wandering the whole city on foot, circling over and over and over until the last light of the sun disappears. On this day, she fails to notice the sun that hides behind the horizon, too focused to find anyone else who needs her help.
A small call for help and sheâs already leaping towards the voice, making sure she never lose it, hands gripping tight on to the straddle of her brown bag. When she arrives, there are no hurt bodies, only a couple of hooded figures with smiles that glints underneath the moonlight. Wait â moonlight?
Realisation only set in when she takes a few steps backward in an attempt to further herself away from the trap, only to bump into another one of their kind standing behind her. She feels her heart sink to her stomach, and just as she was about to turn and dash as a last resort, an arm wraps itself around her own in an iron grip. She can feel the whole world getting darker and darker as they surround her. Regret fills her mind, mixed in with anger, desperation and sadness -- thereâs still so much more she needs to do.
Like all prey thatâs cornered into a wall, she screams -- as loud as she can and as long as she can behind a rugged hand that covered her mouth. She hopes somebody hears.

@obsxtakuya
Sooah always enjoyed a night out after a week full of work, especially with what have been happening around town. Sometimes she is grateful she could alter the fate of those who might have faced a greater misfortune, but other times, seeing the friends she cherishes most getting hurt is almost unbearable. Itâs like a sick game -- she never know when itâs going to be the last time sheâd ever get to see their smiles.
That aside, sheâs never one to indulge herself with alcohol. The drinks always makes it hard to let her mind think, as if a veil was pulled over her head to stop her from thinking. Ever since then, she always made sure to restrict herself. A healer is useless if she canât take care of herself.
Just as she sipped on her first drink â a small glass of Baileyâs Irish Cream â she turned her focus to the yelling and crashing that have been going on for awhile behind her. It had started almost 15 minutes ago when she was halfway down her drink. Based off the sound that came from there, she knew she would be needed. But she didnât mindlessly butt her head in when they were still fighting, thatâs what heroic idiots do, instead, she waited until it was all over.
After the sound of light music fall across the room, she left her unfinished drink on the table and snatching her small bag from her lap to make her way to where she thought the fight was. Without wasting much time, she focused on the smell of blood (she silently hoped there werenât any) and followed it until a visibly battered figure was found.
âAh, I assume the offender have finally gone?â A soft laughter left her lips as a smile traces across her features. She sits next to the man, setting her purse aside, âIâm surprised, he did quite the damage on you. Are there any injuries youâd like me to look over?â
-- alive
@obsmin
It was hard to believe what she saw.
She swore she must have overworked herself the night before, after all, depriving herself of sleep for the sake of enhancing her skill have been a typical routine for Sooah, but that was the least of her problems at the moment. She thought she was hallucinating, and that doesnât happen anymore. Small hands reached into her bag to pull out a small bouquet of herbs she stashed earlier before she left her home. To everyone else it looked like a typical rosemary herb, but in her hands were some of the hybrids she had grew with enhanced properties to help her focus when her work got a little too out of hand.
A quick whiff of it and the world felt a lot more clear and â to her surprise â her eyes did not tricked her. A flood of emotions washed over the woman, drowned her in a familiarity she never knew she missed. It was a strange sensation, and she wasnât sure whether it was welcomed either. Sooahâs dark eyes followed the bright red among the crowd of people in the station, her feet went on autopilot as if there was some sort of thread wrapped around her waist, tugging incessantly at her, forcing her to not let go. Her feet followed and before she knew it she was behind the red haired man.
Her hand reached for him, but thought it better to speak instead.
âMin?â It was quiet, tentative, and full of disbelief. She was a little scared, like saying the name would destroy whatever it was she was seeing in front of her. It was, after all, the very man she tried to save, the man she thought had failed to save, that stood there. Some part of Sooah warned her that it might not be him, that it was impossible for it to be him -- but another part of her wanted to believe, so she pressed on.
âMinkwang? I-is that you?â
-- surprise
@obsxgohn
As the clock turned to one am, the star studded night begin to glitter beyond her window. Inside sits Sooah, her hair tied back so only a small pony tail clings to the back of her head. Her face focused in writing something as the plant that sat across from her glowed with a dim, almost ethereal, light.
It had been a particularly productive night for the woman -- well, at least that was what she'd like to believe. She had finally gotten further into her research of finding some sort of cure for her motherâs ailment. They were only small advancements, but in her mind it was still something. Her petite hand gripped on to her pen, scribbling down the properties she needed to adjust in order to be used ( enhance itâs toxins by 2.89%, clip its leaves and put in water for ache relief ).With one note finally complete, she placed the potted plant aside and pulled a weed closer to her, this time itâs of silver colour. It was one of her proudest collections, she was sometimes unsure whether she should even touch it,itâs just so... beautiful.
Just as she took a sip from her cup of tea, a loud crash was heard from her bedroom. Almost spewing the drink back into its cup, Sooah placed the cup back onto the table as her senses enhanced.
Among the mixed scents of herbs, there was a particular smell that didnât belong yet familiar. This didnât mean she would let down her guard. Gripping her pen close to her chest, she made careful steps towards her bedroom, the silence far too heavy on her ears. One hand slipped on to the door knob, turned it slowly and winced at the what felt like the deafening sound of the creaking door. When her eyes adjusted to the darkness of the room it landed on unfamiliar silhouette who sat on the floor, busy with its hands. Sooah took a deep breath as she stepped inside, her heart pounding loudly against her chest.
âStop where you are!â She commanded, a sliver of determination in her tone, âIf you make a move, I will not hesitate to call my friends. And trust me, they can do a lot of things to you -- none of them good.â Sooah was never very good with confrontations, or threats, and this fact only made her even more nervous.
