Who are these people I'm following DO I KNOW YOU
That wasn’t the answer Kyle was looking for. But Mark is being open with him so he’ll bite his tongue and do his best to bury any frustration bubbling under the surface.
“I’m really just here to h e l p… but with everyone searching for you, maybe it is best to wait until we get our hands on what you want.”
“Yeah, yeah...” Mark trails off. He can sense disapproval from the other man. He knows Kyle doesn’t enjoy working with him, and can barely tolerate him, unlike Andrew, or maybe even Daisy. But Andrew is g o n e. He doesn’t know Daisy well. He might as well be all on his own. It’s moments like these he misses his family most.
He gives Kyle a small grin anyway. “You’re right. With Andrew in custody, with... mom’s tableau, they’re looking even harder for me. I trust you both to get the job done. Until it’s time for them to admit they lied.”
I never got to say goodbye
a six word story (via bellamlyblake)
“I don’t always lie… And honestly, is that really a bad thing? Not wanting to see you upset? I’ll try to be nicer next time, o k a y ?”
“No, it’s not. It means a lot, Luke. But we won’t get better at these things without honesty either. It is possible to be critical a n d nice at the same time.”
“Why I have killed and why you have are completely different things but I am well aware of how much blood there is on my hands. As long as I am around, you will not touch either of them. The only thing I need is to be more stable than all of you.”
“If the why mattered to me I’d mention it. Blood is b l o o d . The why is just semantics, righteous justification. It doesn’t matter how stable you think you might be. Being pulled in so many different directions? Oh, Ryan... Three people seems like a few too many to protect at once.”
[hey guys i am so sorry i’ve been inactive i’ve been like fatigued and sad and have been gaming and trying to write fic instead but i’m really gonna try this week/weekend so stay tuned]
[i’m tired garbage and i hope to be back this weekend]
“I assume it was. Well, I could tell it was you. Purely because I know your face well enough. I would know those eyes anywhere. You really want to know? Why do I have such a difficult time b e l i e v i n g you? Everything has been… peaceful…until recently, which I guess is what you’ve been up to. You’ve been a busy man, Mark.”
“Oh, Max. I wasn’t looking to fool you. Just the public. And the c a m e r a s . Of course I want to know! Like you said. I’ve been busy. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do, newswise. I get so caught up in plans that I forget to keep an eye on how my good friends are doing.”
On the Inside || Mike & Mark
Mike’s eyes narrowed as he stood up to his full height, his hand instinctively going to the holster on his hip. If Mark was going to play the intimidation game, he would play it right back. Mark Gray was probably the person he was least afraid of in this house, if he was afraid of anyone, not that he was. Fear had never been a factor in the choices that he made.
“What are you, her guard dog?” Mike asked, looking the youngest Gray up and down before staring him dead in his eyes. His fingers flexed on the but of his gun as a smirk appeared on his face, “Or maybe I should say lap dog?” He asked with a slight tilt of his head.
“Why don’t you tell me what the hell that stunt the two of you pulled with Max Hardy was?” Mike countered, his eyes a shade of ice blue as they stared Mark down. “That wasn’t part of the deal either. I thought Luke was going to kill me. I have PTSD, what the hell is he doing attacking me to the point where he triggered me? He’s going to live, don’t worry. I didn’t kill him, though I probably would have if Max hadn’t stopped me, so you should be thanking her, not having some psychopath kidnap her.”
Mark’s eyes dart down to Mike’s gun. He knows Mike won’t use it. Lily knows where his father is. Should anything happen to the one son she still has... she won’t hesitate to make his death real. And Mike knows that just as well as he does. So he stands just as tall, keeps himself just as confident. He won’t be swayed from his anger by Mike’s. Mike’s not the one who lost all but one family member in the span of a day. Not the one who watched his twin brother sacrifice himself to let him go free.
He clenches his jaw when Mike speaks again. Everyone seems to act that way, don’t they? Even his mother. Not letting him deal with whatever revenge she’d plan for Luke’s capture. Being told to toughen up. But not Luke. And this man before him took his brother away. Dead or not... Luke is gone. And Mark’s on his own.
The accusation lights a fire in his chest. He steps even closer to mike, lip curling up in a sneer, resisting the urge to grab the man and shake him. “Your boss killed my entire family. Luke was angry. He lost the only other person he ever—” Mark stops. Why is he explaining? He shouldn’t have to explain his brother’s actions to Mike Weston. Luke may have misstepped. But wouldn’t anyone? He takes a deep breath. “He wasn’t thinking logically. Could you blame him, after what Ryan did?” He steps back, adjusts his shirt. He’s got to keep calm. He must not lose it. He can’t fall in the same trap Luke did. But remembering his mother’s snubbing him has him just as angry, and he struggles to control his voice “I had nothing to do with what happened to Max. Mother wouldn’t let me. Because of what happened to Luke. I hate Kurt as much as you do. I n e v e r would have worked with him.” He pauses, taking another breath. “Is he dead?”
[okay okay i swear to god i’m going to this movie and then i’m going to do replies. i’m sorry i was so distracted by sense8 yesterday but i finished it so after this movie when i get back i swear i will work on and post replies okay?
i just i don’t know where my motivation and my energy are anymore.]
“No need to thank me, little bro. But don’t think I won’t hesitate to kill her if she hurts you…”
“You don’t have to do that, Luke.”
[okay i’m gonna try and do replies
but i might get distracted and keep watching sense8
please bear with me]
[uh, hey guys. sorry i’ve been absent. i’ve been super tired but also helping my grandmother with something and it took up a lot of my free time. i have one more day of work this week and then i have THREE DAYS off, but i’ll try and start on some replies sooner than that
for now, i have to deal with tumblr following people for me because lol i’m following people i don’t remember following.]
"Did you think we'd be fine? Still got scars on my back from your knife."
“Remember how you lot killed my whole family? How’d she put it...Don't think it's in the past, these kinda wounds they last and they last.”
“Now, you see, that just hurt, a little. My hair was not a bad dye job. And the stuff I wore was stylish at the time I was wearing it, even if it was my brothers.”
“Hey, I had to do this myself on the run. I did a half decent job under the circumstances. And just because it was stylish doesn’t mean it looked g o o d on you either.”
