Hey - same guy as last time - I'm glad you were so descriptive in your last reply. My first game of yours was the reverse dating SIM: Break her heart. The menu screen honestly made me laugh. What gave you the idea to make it? Were you struggling to break up with someone at the time? Also whenever I choose all the nice options the game just ends up looping is that intentional? Thanks

HEHE i'm glad... i'm still very proud of that one

most of the inspiration just came from the jam it was for ! the prompts for ogam are always a big help when i just wanna make something small- that month's was "reverse progress", and since i mainly do visual novels it didn't take much thinking for me to get there. a little bit of my personal feelings over the years about me being on the aromantic spectrum mixed in there as well though (but all breakups i've had related to that went a whole lot smoother, trust me)

as for the loops- i wish i balanced things a bit better for it in hindsight, but something special will happen if you do it three times ^_^

hiiii ! i don't usually like to explain my writing because i'm a really big fan of reading between the lines & ruminating but i got excited about the prospect of getting to talk about bev so this is my special treat for you:

Yep lol. bev's serial killer status would have been much more explicit here if not for the fact that cherry is a bit of a coward & loves to be in denial about things she doesn't like

unbelievably complicated. i'll admit it's been a bit too long since the admittedly slightly rushed development of this one for me to remember the nitty-gritty of how this version of bev varies from the more fleshed-out version of her i'm putting in snip snip snippy (this is a fine excuse to shill other game. it's allowed. i'm sure you already saw it on your way here anyway lol) but... suffice to say no version of her is A Good Parent, but also no version of her has outright malicious intent towards cherry and is in fact quite protective of her (hence why bev doesn't just take her out of the picture as soon as she realizes cherry's onto her, in playthroughs where this is the case). so this leads into the question of how much she actually loves cherry as a person vs how much she just loves the idea of having a daughter, and how much that love tangibly means anything, which is exactly the kind of agonizing but never-the-less kinda nuanced problem which my desire to puzzle out got me to start writing so much of this sort of dynamic in the first place
