Another oldie from 2010 this time. This image (or the one that this is a redo of) was the image that got me into digital art. Before I had a tablet, probably in 2005 or 2006, I was struck by inspiration in the middle of the night and knew EXACTLY how I wanted to depict this scene, but I didn't know how to make it. I only had pens and markers and ms paint, and I knew I wanted a full blown painting look, like the images I saw people making online. A month or two later my dad got me a tablet, and a year or two later I learned how to use photoshop! I fully intend to remake this again sometime soon, probably as a legit painting style image.
A goodie from 2011!
I don't know when I started this. My guess would be 2014 but earlier is entirely likely as well. I picked it up again when I designed January, and have puttered around with it off an on until today when I was trying to clean out my WIP folder and saw how close it was to being finished. I know when I started it, I intended to draw every month during their month, (I think I was even considering making a calendar??) but then I decided to redesign a lot of them and so... obviously that never happened. XD
October telling November off for something. Especially after his breakdown, he is obnoxious, crosses lines left and right and gets very weaselly and difficult about it, which October can't stand. Losing someone dependable and having them replaced with a very different version of themselves can't be fun, especially for everything October has on her plate.
A redraw of this image from 2011!
Halloween Smile
I’ve been fiddling with an October design for halloween for freaking years, but this might be my favorite finally… Might finish this image..
Just a little wip to prove I'm still alive
Hey! Random note from the abyss, but your art has been really influential and inspiring for over a decade (I was deleting a lot of old things off of my deviantart and remembered how much I love your work, especially the way you render reflective light). I hope you are well and thriving! Peace
Aw, thank you so much for the kind words! I hope you re-share somewhere more respectful of artists, someone out there might feel the same about your art!
I'm doing well, I continue to hope I'll have enough time to get back to drawing cats, just haven't quite gotten there yet!
Planet's Fucked: What Can You Do To Help? (Long Post)
Since nobody is talking about the existential threat to the climate and the environment a second Trump term/Republican government control will cause, which to me supersedes literally every other issue, I wanted to just say my two cents, and some things you can do to help. I am a conservation biologist, whose field was hit substantially by the first Trump presidency. I study wild bees, birds, and plants.
In case anyone forgot what he did last time, he gagged scientists' ability to talk about climate change, he tried zeroing budgets for agencies like the NOAA, he attempted to gut protections in the Endangered Species Act (mainly by redefining 'take' in a way that would allow corporations to destroy habitat of imperiled species with no ramifications), he tried to do the same for the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (the law that offers official protection for native non-game birds), he sought to expand oil and coal extraction from federal protected lands, he shrunk the size of multiple national preserves, HE PULLED US OUT OF THE PARIS CLIMATE AGREEMENT, and more.
We are at a crucial tipping point in being able to slow the pace of climate change, where we decide what emissions scenario we will operate at, with existential consequences for both the environment and people. We are also in the middle of the Sixth Mass Extinction, with the rate of species extinctions far surpassing background rates due completely to human actions. What we do now will determine the fate of the environment for hundreds or thousands of years - from our ability to grow key food crops (goodbye corn belt! I hated you anyway but), to the pressure on coastal communities that will face the brunt of sea level rise and intensifying extreme weather events, to desertification, ocean acidification, wildfires, melting permafrost (yay, outbreaks of deadly frozen viruses!), and a breaking down of ecosystems and ecosystem services due to continued habitat loss and species declines, especially insect declines. The fact that the environment is clearly a low priority issue despite the very real existential threat to so many people, is beyond my ability to understand. I do partly blame the public education system for offering no mandatory environmental science curriculum or any at all in most places. What it means is that it will take the support of everyone who does care to make any amount of difference in this steeply uphill battle.
There are not enough environmental scientists to solve these issues, not if public support is not on our side and the majority of the general public is either uninformed or actively hostile towards climate science (or any conservation science).
So what can you, my fellow Americans, do to help mitigate and minimize the inevitable damage that lay ahead?
A mini for TheMoustacheGal! I've drawn Birchy in the past, so I was so happy to get a chance to draw her again! Took me back to the good days~ x3
Meet you in the place it all began Even though I can't show you, there's a light around the bend Be right there to see you through the end ♫♪♪ Again- Mako Amber is your tiny friend with absolutely no inhibitions. She's the one parents ask you if you'd follow off a cliff. The answer is probably yes. Ash is the solid, down to earth friend that always makes you feel good about yourself. Raptor is your mom. I can't be sure but I think this is the last time I drew them all together? Which is utterly pitiful...
Nightclaw
Full body sketch of Nightclaw for Moon-feather! I love the broody looking crouching cats~ Mysterious and aloof.

How to turn off AI Training of your content on Web and Mobile:
On a Web Browser:
I had some trouble finding this option. My first instinct was to click the settings button on the left, but that's where it is!
First, you'll click the name of your blog on the left sidebar to bring it up on your browser.
Then click "Blog settings" on the right sidebar once your blog is brought up. That's where they're hiding it.
Click "Prevent Third-Party Sharing" under the Visibility section, and bam! You're done.
On Mobile:
Thankfully it's much easier on mobile. Just click the Gear icon on your blog's page, to go to settings.
Scroll all the way down until you see Visibility, then toggle the Prevent third-party sharing option for your blog!!
If you disable this setting on mobile, it automatically synced it to my web browser settings, too. ...But if you use both Web and Mobile, I would still highly recommend double checking that it actually turned off on both!!
Check that it's turned off on your side blogs too! And check your settings every now and then anyway to ensure that it's staying turned off, because if my memory serves right, some other websites will pull some shenanigans on things like this and opt you back in without telling you!
Leave Feedback on New Features at Tumblr Support Here!! Let Staff know however we can that having our content fed to AI at their whim is unacceptable.
And if you have the option to poison your art with Nightshade or Glaze, keep it up!!
Please share!
Opt yourself out of AI scraping.
Like many sites, Tumblr is opting us in to AI scraping instead of opting us out by default, and packaging it like a kindness. We're not calories to consume. You can opt yourself out in blog settings (per blog you use).
Dang! I drew this in 2017 apparently? I've remade the first few pages of Marks only about a million times, and this is one of the original pages, that I remade for the new version... I kinda love it. I could do better now, but still. A neat find in the files!
