I am definitely over analyzing here, but this illustration caught my attention immediately because of the flowers that Felix is holding.
Lilies are often a symbol of purity, innocence, virtue, and beauty. They are also associated with renewal- rebirth and hope in Christian iconography, and are also very much associated with the divine feminine.
You can read into their femininity and attach it to both Felix, Crusch, and Fourier (since all of them have an interesting relationship with femininity), as well as looking into its aspects of rebirth in the funeral context here (rebirth in the metaphorical sense of the relationship- in the context of Crusch and Felix?).
But one of the things that immediately came to my mind as someone who heard of one unfortunate incident with someone’s cat: is that Lilies are deeply poisonous to cats. So poisonous that even just their pollen if ingested by accident, can cause acute kidney failure and death.
The image of Felix in the suit tearing up, and the lilies being held up to his chest is just very striking.

I am still amazed it got so much attention and so many people liked it, especially since it’s my first-esk time actually writing something!
When I initially planned out the story I thought that I’ll be done with the set-up in about 20k words, three chapters max, and haha well here we are. We aren’t even half way through the initial set up for the story.
I have a tendency to linger a bit longer on details and conversations, aka writing them all out instead of fading to black. I really love this way of storytelling since it lets me explore all the details throughly, and I don’t plan on changing it! But I’ll be lying if I say that it doesn’t inflate the story length to an absurd amount.

hey GNG very tiny mistake in ch3 I think or was it two I forgot, anyways when Subaru says his arm has been like that for a month, it actually hasn't been a month, it's been like 3 months, in arc 7 chapter 5 near the end , when like the thing with his arm happens he mentions how he's had his arm like that for 3 months so yeah they took a looongggg time reaching and beating the Pleiades tower,
"It had been almost three months since he had been exposed to the dragon’sblood in Pristella."
So like naoko has even more reason to be worried about her son...
