Shit my school life this year is going to be way busier than I originally ever hoped it would ever be.

Hello lovely people!! I’m just gonna cut things down to the chase and announce that I am indeed going on another hiatus! Since I’m actually being active in my school and doing flag spinnin’, along with piano and theatre business and future homework I realize that once things pick up around here, I’m going to be dead from exhaustion.

This blog is absolutely a lot of work, and I put a lot of time and care into writing DJ Octavio. Sadly, he doesn’t hit quite as home as a few other my muses do so this makes things a bit more of a chore for me. But I still love him.

No idea how long it’ll last, but for now I’m gonna let life take it’s course. I’ll probably be back to pick on a bunch of ya later like the bully of an octopus I am. Prooobably wasn't too much of a shock to mutuals on discord, since I've been really dead there as of late.

Getting into the Canyon wasn’t even that hard - she had been here trice before, anyway. The harder part was avoiding Marie. When she was sure the idol had left her post, she slipped through the grate and popped back out.

The second problem was getting the stuff she’d brought into that stupid glass ball. Either way, Mani set down a couple of bags in front of the snow globe, before knocking on the glass.

“Hey. Uh, I, uhm.” She started, not sure what to say.

“I brought you stuff… to eat. Uh.”

  And so. Ugly Octopus Man found himself in yet in another glass ball. Grumbling. Starving. Probably was going to die here if he didn’t get out of it sooner or later. Why did no one try and rescue him again? A true wonder. The bitter cephalopod wasn’t even aware he was going to gain a visitor. He almost flat out ignored Mani until he heard that magical word ‘eat’.

  Intrigued, the octopus peaked his head up from the laying position he was in. Once he recognized the little squid, he groaned and rolled his eyes. Though his stomach seemed to argue with him, and he eventually moved closer to the young Agent who pitied him. Absolutely gross.  “Unless it’s a way out of here, I don’t want it.”

“Yeah! Yeah! Definitely! Super up to it! Gotta make sure big maw is okay! So I’m ok with learning anything I need to Bossman!” Leio gave a wide, toothy grin as she lightly hopped from foot to foot excitedly, boots clanking on the ground. 

“Bet big maw would be happy to see you anyways! Said he misses seeing you around!” She giggled “I miss seeing you a lot too! You’re cool- And I appreciate that you let me stay around and stuff!!”

  “A’ight, a’ight. Then I’ll teach ya.” Pfft. That last comment got a bit of a laugh out of him. It was nice to know he was missed. By both Octomaw and the young ‘Inkling’. He motioned for her to follow him as he walked in the direction of a kettle leading to the place where Big Maw was kept. His boots obviously taking much quieter steps than the other’s metal suit.

  “Ya mean know harm, I know that much.” He began to reply, cosnidering the strange circumstances that brought those not-quite-Inking down there to join them. No one could quite predict what the suit she was given would actually do to her, and admittedly he couldn’t help but feel a little bad knowing she couldn’t remove it anymore. She didn’t seem to mind, though. “Ya grew on all of us down ‘ere, lil’ Maw. We’d all miss ya if ya went.” Which was true, or at least for him. His hand opened as a subtle offer for the other to take if, if she’d want to. “I hope you’ve been enjoying you’re life down here.”

    well, ah, no, actually. this was the most self-validating, worthwhile thing she could think to do. so sorry, but not actually sorry in the slightest. but that was completely beside the point; of course she had a life outside the valley, it wasn’t like she was governed by her title of Agent 3 or anything, what the fuck kind of nonsense— she screwed up her face at him, tongue out and everything. he wasn’t scary in the slightest – in fact, he was helpless, especially without his ship – and she crossed her arms, glanced ahead, and pushed away from the glass with both feet. a few practiced movements found the glass rattling as she landed on top of it, parting her legs to brace both arms between and leer down at him.

    she might’ve been the villain, yes, but it was hard for her to care around him. octavio was a heavy sort of apathy all around, with her caring neither about his wellbeing nor death. soda grimaced, and sat back to tilt her head to the sky again, mumbling something about it being a really boring temperature.   “ mhm, wha’ever ya say, mister octavio. don’tcha think ‘s a little pathetic t’ make threats like that when ”   — she tapped the heel of one foot against his glass —   “ yer stuck in ‘ere fer like, ever? but naw, i’m bored, an’ yer like, the only one i can talk to at th’ mo’ so… ”   she wasn’t sure how well he’d be able to see her shrug, but she did nonetheless, a nice smooth roll of her shoulders with both hands still between her lap.   “ i didn’ git a call t’day, but all th’ people i know ‘ave fucked off inta th’ sunset, so i’m pretty much jus’ stuck here. valley’s nice ‘is time’a year anyway. ”

  Of course she would, but he just really really really wanted her to go away. Because unlike him, Soda could still be scary and annoying without any of her fancy assists. Here, he was just an octopus trapped in a pot. His status didn't really mean anything here. The liquid surrounding stopped him from swinging proper punches. Besides, his tentacles didn’t have bones in them. They couldn’t offer anything to help him break out of there. It’d just require a lot of thinking on his end. Thinking time that was getting interrupted by this little kid. Ah drat. how was he going to actually get rid of this menace?

  ‘Mister’ Octavio as he was being called, groaned at the affirmation that she wasn’t leaving anytime soon. He rolled his eyes. Yes, the valley was nice this time of year wasn’t it? But it wasn’t something he couldn’t enjoy trapped here. He slumped downed in the globe, laying as well as he properly could gazing up at the sky and trying to avoid those light blue tentacles. He blinked and pondered on what to say. It was rare he didn’t have anything to say. 

  “Jeez, wonder why they went off without ya somewhere.” Sarcasm trickled off of his voice, unpleasant and annoyed. The only conclusion he could muster was that it was because they grew tired of her, and he wasn’t afraid to be vocal about it. “Probably ‘cause they got so annoyed of ya, always bein’ rude and annoying.” Big words from someone who couldn’t do much other than speak and sleep. Maybe watch the sky for a bit, but other than that not much. “I’m surprised people even wanna associate with ya, little brat.”

Giant octopus macros!!!  I’ve never seen one out of its hiding spot before, so this was exciting.  It pays to get to the aquarium early.

Favourite muse(s) you’ve written: Gosh, while I have fun with every muse I write I got to say my favorites are Rosalina and Marie. Marie because I met my boyfriend through the original account, and Rosalina because........ well, my boyfriend was gonna ship with me with Bowser ajskfhkd- But for real though Marie has been a nice favorite because her sarcasm and her dedication to her cousin is super cute. She’s fun and smug and it’s lovely to write. I like Rosalina because the motherly caring figure is adorable to me, it’s also very much fun to write her too. Plus, the Mario community has been very fun to write in!

What inspired you to take on your current muse (that you are posting this on): Well.. Gotta say, saw no Octavio’s after a pal who was the OG one left and I was like ‘alright, fuck it. This cold be a lot of fun.’ And.... here we are today! Never expected to get so attached to him, but I did. I don’t regret that for anything.

What are your favorite aspects of your current muse: Well, he has the potential to be a fun and complex character! I know it’s Nintendo, and we’ll probably never ever learn anything more about My Man but the way they wrote the Sunken Scrolls and Octo Valley + Canyon’s design choices leave a lot to the imagination and also not a lot. Everyone can have their own interpretations what happened and how he acts and none of them won’t really be far from canon. Whoever said he brainwashed his people though @ nintendo i will fight you.

What’s your biggest inspiration when it comes to writing: Just the fact that people look forward to seeing this blog. I don’t particularly want to be vain or anything, but I’ve been getting a lot of sweet asks saying how much people have loved my blog either from 2015 or now. I don’t have time to answer them all, but I couldn’t be happier to get them. it’s such a big confidence boost to know people love what you do.

Favorite types of threads: ALL TYPES OF THREADS TBH? Though I think Grampa could use a little more serious relaxed ones as opposed to his constant loud and obnoxious behavior. Like some actual Quality Old Man time with this dude if possible.

Biggest struggle in regards to your current muse: 

How on gods name am I supposed to interact with Inklings. I mean dont get me wrong I love Inkling ocs half to death all of ya’ll are lovely but Grandpa Racist still doesn’t like you. It makes me feel awkward having him interact with some of them, because Tavi is screaming for murder.
