@ode-to-october-blog
I think I’ve drifted really far apart from the writing community and poetry and personal musings, etc. and I really don’t care? I mean, I just never felt like part of it all that much. I’ve been there since I was like 16 but still. I would have never become a decent writer, been able to work through my past, learned to be more fluent in English and met both wonderful and terrible people and learned about myself and other people without it - but I’m not sad or anything to drift apart. I think I’m just moving on. The fandom, fangirling and gaming part of Tumblr is what works for me now. I’ve met wonderful people and made friends I could never live without. It makes me happy and the writing community never really did that much. Writing is a struggle, like I once wrote writing it is like cutting your wrists and letting them bleed until you’ve poured all of your pain out and repeating again and again and it’s emotionally draining. I don’t want that anymore. Not at the moment anyway. I know making good art means making sacrifices and taking risks and just bleeding. But I think I’ve bled enough. I don’t want to give anything of myself right now. I just need to focus on getting better and I think the best way to do that now is focusing on stuff that makes me happy. I’d rather write fantasy anyway. And maybe fanfics.
Reblogging from where I dwell now. This is not a goodbye. Or perhaps it is a partly one. I don't intend to delete this blog or anything. I'm just focusing on my other one and another part of my life. Just thought I'd share just in case.
The little engine that could
Tom Waits in London, 1981
And this is what I said to him: “If you want to sleep with me, I don’t mind. I’ve never slept with anybody, and I’m very fond of you, so if you want to make love to me, I don’t mind at all. But marrying me is a whole different matter. If you marry me, you take on all my troubles, and they’re a lot worse than you can imagine.”

I am a lover without a lover. I am lovely and lonely and I belong deeply to myself.

I'm on a strange mood tonight. Suddenly, somehow, words come bursting out through my fingertips. Words that I know the meaning of but I'm not quite sure it is there for others to see. Now I'm not sure whether I should share or not, for these poems feel so intimate, personal. I haven't written poems for quite a while and now that these few somehow take shape before me I feel protective and even possessive over them. Hm...
A star falls from the sky and into your hands. Then it seeps through your veins and swims inside your blood and becomes every part of you. And then you have to put it back into the sky. And it’s the most painful thing you’ll ever have to do and that you’ve ever done.
