RadenWA is honestly a hero for these
they're got even more than these, too!
Ok so Billy is a journalist, a good one. But what if he had done other odd jobs. For example, he was an assistant in a tattoo parlor. He took care of the reception, the cleaning and sometimes the tattoo artist taught him a few tricks. He ends up becoming interested in it and in particular tattoos throughout history and the magic that is involved in it (Billy is an expert in ancient history and nothing will make me turn back).
He got a job as a tattoo artist in the magical world in addition to his job as a journalist and although he is very good he is little known since he does not advertise. However, he can get a little bit every month.
Just thinking about the whole Crime alley is jasons territory fanon you know the only bat that's allowed to enter is Jason thing and obvious it's very stupid but also it's just one alley like literally just the space beside the theatre and it got me thinking of that old post that said smth like "spiderman protects the whole of new york city daredevil protects a couple blocks of New York" yeah well Jason Todd protects one crime infested alleyway
Okay I know that some writers will pretend crime alley is actually a few blocks wide but personally I think those writers are cowards at most crime alley is allowed to be a single street and that is it stop trying to expand crime alley I get that you want to claim "Oh its just a area where alot of crime happens" well newsflash if that's the definition of crime alley than I guess we can nick name the whole of Gotham crime alley

Jason acts like a buffer in a rpg game when people try to go into the alley he stands in the entrance he's so wide his shoulders touch the walls on either side
he's so real
Why The Genderswap Is The Best Thing About Warriors
Here's another post on The Warriors genderswap because I’m still not over how good it was!!!
You've got to understand that changing the Warriors to women was a sacrifice. No matter how good a choice it was, it alienated a lot of the people who would otherwise be obsessed with it.
Warriors is already a cult 70s movie - it doesn't have a huge fanbase. Making the main characters women basically alienated that entire fanbase. Because Warriors is very much a movie about masculinity.
The fans liked it because it was about masculinity, and masculine themes (courage, honour) done masculine-y.
You can find megafans of the movie on reddit or tumblr, who are very much annoyed that the story is no longer about men being men. The story isn't the same anymore, and they aren't interested.
But the change wasn't made without reason.
Lin Manuel Miranda previously thought it was impossible to turn the Warriors into a musical, despite it being one of his favourite movies. The thing that changed his mind? The genderswap.
The Warriors album was made because of the genderswap. Lin thought it was the only interesting way to tell the story in the modern age - and you know what? He was right.
Everything just hits harder when they're women.
Orphan Town and We Got You are hilarious because they're women.
Turning a male/female seductions on their head. Male seduction is a k-pop Ballad about being a nice guy? Genius.
Moments like Call Me Mercy and Park At Night are empowering and emotionally charged because they're women.
Mercy looks at the Warriors and for the first time in her life sees women that have empowered themselves, and drops everything in her life to join them, because she wants to feel like that too.
Ajax sees a catcaller sexually harassing all of her friends and thinks "I need to teach this guy a lesson, because no one else in the world will ever do that"
The story feels more intense - it feels scarier.
On some level, every women is afraid to walk home at night, and Warriors is just that feeling elevated to a musical. The threat doesn't just feel more real - it feels intimately relatable.
The genderswap was heavily inspired by gamergate. Warriors is now a story about women not being believed, being falsely accused and taken advantage of.
But the story's moral still ends up being that these women need to keep their pride, need to keep pushing on. Through everything they still hold their heads high.
God it just works so well.
Re-intepreting Luther into an incel-type villian who wants the women out of his "space"? Brilliant. Turning the controversial Swan/Mercy romance into a lesbian love story? Fantastic! Shifting the story from being about courage, to being about the courage to hold your head high even after being attacked with gender-charged abuse? Life-changing.
The emotions just... work better when they're women. Reversing the genderswap now would be taking the story's teeth away.
You can't reverse time now guys!
Much like Warriors evolved the book - the musical evolved the movie. The dudebros are scratching their heads - angry they can't relate to the musical, without realising that they aren't supposed to.
Warriors is no longer a story about masculinity. It's about femininity now and I couldn't be happier.

Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.

May I present to you, nationalclothing.org?
It doesn't have everything, but it's still my first source when researching traditional clothing from other cultures.
There's also this resource on historical fashion: Claire’s Historical Fashion Reference & Resources
another addition as far as physical media goes there is the encyclopedia of national dress (that i still need to buy myself bc this kind of thing is super important to my sort of fantasy designing) but yes i do agree i wish there was EVEN MORE documentation on this
I made a 37 minute long tutorial about how I draw cozy interiors! It runs you through how I make a perspective grid, as well as all of the tools I use to make these kinds of illustrations. An 8,000-year-old marble figurine of a voluptuous woman was unearthed in 2016 in the Neolithic urban settlement of Çatalhöyük in central Turkey. The figurine is 17 centimeters long, 11 centimeters wide and weighs one kilo.
#its crazy to me that 8000 years ago people shaped like that mustve existed for them to make statues shaped like that #like bodies similar to mine have always existed #crazy tags via @jellabean22
Yes! People act like fatness is an invention of the 20th century and “our hunter-gatherer ancestors wouldn’t have been obese!” Bullshit. Fat people have always existed, and our ancestors thought they were beautiful! <333
There’s this great theory that at least some of these were self portraits, and that the specific proportions they have are caused by the artist looking down at herself due to no vertical mirrors being available.
e.g. This article on Medium has a bit about it. Caution, scientific nudity

I pointed this out in a Discord server I'm in and thought Id share here:
Bob Iger announced that Disney is going to absorb Hulu, and Hulu will no longer exist next year. All shows will move to the Disney+ app.
Disney also announced they were going to remove shows and movies periodically from their streaming services.
I believe both of these moves are because of the Writers Strike.
Disney knows its going to lose the strike. There is too much public support. Specifically, the WGA is going to win writers getting more residuals from streaming.
So if Disney takes shows off of streaming, they dont have to pay the writers the residuals.
They are going to use excuses like "not enough funding for the server capacity" or "not enough views to warrent keeping the show". These are BULLSHIT. Its all greed. Its only GREED.
Pay attention to what happens in the following weeks.
And keep supporting the writers' strike.
This is similar to what happened with HBO - new owners merged two streaming services, and all of a sudden there wasn't enough server capacity for all the shows somehow. A total lie.
Did you know that after they switched to blind auditions, major symphony orchestras hired women between 30% to 55% more? Before bringing in “blind auditions” with a screen to conceal the the candidate, women in the top 5 major orchestras made up less than 5% of the musicians performing.
so I believe it was actually more complicated than that, in interesting ways. Because at first, when they did blind auditions, they were STILL hiring more men.
…Then they put down a carpet, so that high heels didn’t clack on the floor, and BOOM women were suddenly getting hired.
The testers didn’t even know that’s what they were picking up on, which just goes to show how tiny of a cue it takes for misogyny to kick in.
The case of blind auditions for orchestras and how it dramatically changed the gender makeup of orchestras is a very illuminating example of gender bias, and an interesting possible way of countering it.
You can be sexist without knowing it. You can be racist without knowing it. This is not a moral failing; it is a moral imperative to remember that you are fallible, and take steps to limit the damage your squishy ape brain’s foibles can cause.
When studies show that underage drinking is harmful, it's banned easily. But when studies show that spanking is harmful, it remains legal and parents still insist on doing it.
Age restrictions on purchasing cigarettes pass easily. But laws prohibiting smoking where children are forced to breathe in secondhand smoke are much harder to pass.
Children under a certain age are prohibited from using most social media websites. But adults are allowed to post videos of their children's meltdowns.
Teenagers need their parents' permission to get body modifications. But parents can get their babies' ears pierced.
Anyone who genuinely wants to protect children would not panic about the children's own choices while ignoring what adults force on them. Anyone who genuinely wants to protect children would not insist that studies on the dangers of children's own choices be fully trusted and obeyed while ignoring and arguing with studies on the dangers of how adults treat children.
But many adults just want to control children, not protect them.
