Cryptic notes were far from Benji Quinn’s strong suit. Words in general tended to prove more of a struggle for him then not, although this was really hearsay. As far as Benji was concerned, he thought himself as an excellent communicator. Communication skills were neither here nor there in this instance of course - he wasn’t reaching out to Amand in this nature for anything other than sport. He’d slipped the note under his friends dorm door with a giggle, knowing he would only appreciate the effort in hindsight. He’d had fun crafting the note, clipping magazines Mina had discarded until he had the words he wanted.

Standing in the middle of church’s square Benji was still confused as to where pizza came into play. Sure, Italy seemed famous for the treat, but all he saw in the middle of the plaza was gorgeous architecture and tourist traps. However, it was the windiest place Benji had gone to yet with a phenomenal view he felt his old friend would appreciate. He greeted the archer with a quick twist and a “Ta-fucking-dah!” smirking as if he’d played the best of jokes. “Whatcha think? Did I trick you?” he reached out to high five his old classmate. “I’m sorry if I did bro, I was just screwing around. I’ve been kinda bored and thought you mighta been scratching your head too.”

“Meet meat sain...” Amand squinted. “Me at saint marks pizza”. Fresh out of the shower, Amand had barely woken up. Something about the lack of work had thrown off his rise with the sun routine. He’d been exploring the town with Mina and keeping up with exercise, but sleeping in felt great. Amand was surprised to find the note and found himself wondering who would’ve left it That was until he opened it. It was just a suspicion but who else could it have been? It was a chilly evening, the sky was mostly clear as he walked down the cobbled path, phone in hand navigating around a street that had been closed off because of damaged buildings. Amand stepped out of an alley to to see the church square, warmly lit from overhead, Benji had noticed him and began to approach. It was always good to see Benji, he had an honest vibe about him that made him comfortable to be around. “I loved your arts and crafts” Amand chuckled. “I’ll have it framed”. Amand was joking but he absolutely planned on keeping it. “This place is incredible” he said as he looked out over the city, glowing lights bloomed from the streets like veins below. “I appreciate a chance to get out. So. What’s the plan? After pizza we should see whats on in town.”
