( when ur autoplay is hella calming tho---- )
( it’s true, I’m back! <3 today, I’ll be doing some blog revamping ( because my tag page is broke ) and starter calls for my different verses <3 love you guys! )
"You posses the stealth of a baby elephant."
“ You possess the subtlety of a brick over the head. “
☾♔—
The cold wind blew through her blonde locks, her arms wrapped tightly around his strong body from behind. She enjoyed riding the bike with her lover. It has been a while since she spent some quality time with him.. she missed him so much.
Usagi rest her head on his shoulder, the scent of his after shave was too good to be true.
A while ago he called her and told her he would pick her up with his bike to take her to the beach.. she was so excited to be alone with him.
{♔}---- He’d do anything for her, and to spend quality time with his Usako was a blessing. With her arms wrapped around him, he felt invincible. Seeing the beach over the horizon, he began to slow down, pulling into a parking spot and taking off his helmet. “ We’re here! “ A picnic on the beach with her sounded like a good idea, as he unloaded the cargo with a huge smile. “Let’s go grab a spot, okay? Can you help me carry? “
She blushed deeply at his action, her face turning scarlet. His comment about leaving Mamoru notes did make her chuckle, though. She could imagine Mamoru being super confused about it all, too.
“Oh…” she murmured, feeling even more nervous as she realized he was speaking about her. “You…think I’m pretty?”
Being in his arms made her feel so safe. And his words made her so happy, too. He enjoyed being around her, seeing her…even though he was saving her all the time. “It’s the same for me..seeing you…”
When his lips touched her cheek, Sailor Moon froze. There was a flash of something in the back of her mind, of a gesture done before…but it felt like it was a dream, from a long time ago.
Her eyes fluttered as her fingers touched her cheek, eyes staring at the masked man in shock and adoration.
“T-Tuxedo Kamen-sama…”
A small, tender smile danced upon the masked man’s lips, before gently pressing his lips to the rabbit’s. Memories ebbed and flowed into his mind, a faint sense that they had done this before.... a long, long time ago. “ No, Usagi-chan. I think you’re beautiful. “ The admission whispered against her lips elicited a gentle, tender smile from Tuxedo Kamen, a gloved hand gently cupping her cheek. “ In all honesty? You’re what keeps me going, Usagi-chan. I wouldn’t be here otherwise. “ A wider smile this time, as he cradled her close. She was so warm, and he absolutely loved holding her. His princess... .....princess? There was something familiar about that word, something he couldn’t place... Unable to figure out what it was, he settled for kissing her once more.
Sailor Moon slowly followed over to where he gestured her to sit, making herself as comfortable as one could be in a miniskirt on a roof.
While she listened to Tuxedo Kamen explain things, she made a myriad of facial expressions. But mostly, she pouted while she tried to understand everything.
Split personality? Golden Crystal? How come Luna or the others don’t know about any of this?
What brought her some relief was the fact that Mamoru may not even remember her transforming into Sailor Moon, which meant she was still safe. But Tuxedo Kamen…would he remember? What would that mean?
His question pulled her from her thoughts, eyes going wide and mouth dropping in surprise for a second, before she started to laugh. Staring down at her legs, she swayed a little. “Honestly? That’s a really good question. Mamoru can be such a jerk sometimes,” she replied, feeling a bit weird that she was talking about Mamoru..to Mamoru, in a way. “I don’t know why he’s always so mean to me. I’ve never done anything to him, outside of accidentally throw things that just happen to be in his path…” Her tone turned sharp then as she became angry for a few seconds, her cheeks puffing out in frustration.
Sighing, she shook her head to glanced back at Tuxedo Kamen. “Is it hard? Being trapped in there like that? It must be lonely.”
He couldn’t help the lopsided smile, as he reached over and ruffled her bangs. God, she was adorable. “ I’m kind of guilty of leaving notes for him to find when he, you know, ‘wakes up.’ I’d like to think I’m the more sane part of him, at least- when he’s not being an infuriating idiot. “ The masked man laughed at that sentiment-- Mamoru always dismissed it as him writing something down and not remembering... or Motoki trying to knock some sense into him. She was cute when she puffed out her cheeks- well, Tuxedo Kamen was biased, he thought she was cute, period. At the question, however, his happy smile was reduced to a small, sadder one. “ Yes, it is. Especially when he’s picking on you-- really, he shouldn’t be picking on pretty girls, he’s such an idiot. “ Laughing softly, he then pulled her into his arms, pressing his forehead to hers. “ It’s not that bad, though. I still get to see you, right? That’s the highlight of my day. “ He could kiss her right now-- he was so close, and... aw, hell. He pecked her briefly, a small smile on his face as he did so. “ Trust me, Moon-chan... you’re worth the wait. “
Everyone was on alert around Usagi after that day. While she smiled and laughed with her friends, it was clear that there was a spark missing, It was in her eyes, how her smile wouldn’t quite reach them. She wasn’t as talkative, and there were moments where Rei or Ami would have to call her out of her thoughts.
She had such a hard time concentrating on anything, as her mind would wander to him and what they did.
The pain in his eyes.
Her heartbreak. And anger over how confusing everything had become. It was so easy when she simply disliked Mamoru. It was routine and normal. But now…
Something was missing and she hated it. The past week had felt empty, like there was fog over her vision. She couldn’t escape it.
She had decided to go to her favorite bakery, to try and eat away her sorrows. Why care about her figure when she felt so lost?
Odango.
Blinking, she glanced from where she stood by the menus, her navy hues widening at the sight of Mamoru approaching her. While her cheeks betrayed her and began to darken, she narrowed her eyes and returned her gaze to the menus.
“I can pay for myself, thanks,” she said curtly. Her emotions were all over the place, her mind now even more of a mess. She couldn’t let him see how broken she was because of him.
Please let me make things right, Usagi-chan. Nothing is right without you. His train of thought was enough to make him blush, as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. “ Usagi ---- please. I need to talk to you. “ Over the past week, he found himself wandering inadvertently to the places where he had met her-- the first time he walked, it took him to OSA-P-- the second, where the cram school flyers were handed out... It was like he couldn’t stay away-- one place he avoided profusely was the alley from a week ago. What he did was horrible, and he didn’t know how to apologize to her. “ So... uhm. Cake? “
+ @ofchxvalry
“Pardon the interruption but I must say you throw lovely parties.”
“ Hmm? “ Was this one of Motoki’s schemes? He was pretty sure it was, but... “Oh, this ism’t my party. It’s more of Motoki’s thing than anything.. he’s really just using my apartment to try and make me.... socialize. Anyways... Chiba Mamoru. And..you are? “
Sailor Moon blushed deeply as he carried her through the air as if she weighed nothing at all. Smiling, she couldn’t help but swoon, momentarily forgetting everything as she basked in his romantic gesture.
As they landed on top of OSA-P, she started to feel anxious, her teeth gnawing on her lower lip as she toyed with her hair nervously. He looked so…so young like that, so nervous about talking to her.
It wasn’t like Mamoru Chiba at all, and it made her wonder if she really knew him in the first place.
Nodding slowly, she watched him carefully, curious. “If you want to share, then yes, please…” She had to know the truth. They shared their identities, and there would definitely be repercussions, so Sailor Moon needed to know if it was all worth it in the end.
Nodding once, he sat down, towards the edge of the roof, and gestured for her to sit down. “ Alright. So-- the easiest explanation is probably that I’m not.... fully Mamoru Chiba? I mean, it’s weird-- as Mamoru, I can’t remember anything that I do while transformed. It’s like the concept of split-personality, but a little more extreme. “ “ See, I’m only able to take over when Mamoru’s in danger, or when you’re transforming. I’m not sure why, but it may have something to do with the power I possess. You know about the Ginzushou, but have you heard of its counterparts? There’s a few weaker planetary gems that exist, but so far, the only two I’m aware of is, of course, the Silver Crystal, and then... there’s mine. My crystal is called the Golden Crystal, and its origin is actually from this planet. As in, it’s Earth’s crystal, a companion to the Silver. “ “ Which, by extension, might mean something in the long run. But, really-- I’m more in Mamoru’s subconscious, because he isn’t ready to use the Crystal’s power... and I’m forced to sit there and watch him be a complete ass. Don’t get me wrong, but he’s an idiot. No matter how many book smarts he has, he completely lacks people skills. “ “ So, what I’m trying to say is--- I am Mamoru, in a sense. I’m part of him, but at the same time, he’s not a part of me. Which means he may or may not remember that you’re Tsukino Usagi. It’s like--- one-way glass. I can see through his eyes, right? Well, he can’t see through mine, because he’s not ready to take the full responsibility of being the heir to the Golden Crystal. It’s up to me to keep his dumb ass out of trouble until he is. “ “ Which brings me to another question: how have you not punched him in the face? You have to be some kind of saint to tolerate him, I’m really sorry. “
Watching Tuxedo Kamen do his attack, Sailor Moon nodded. Pulling her crescent wand, she concentrated her energy and focused on the youma.
“Moon Healing Escalation–!”
Her voice carried through the wind as energy spilled from her wand, slicing through the youma and healing it from the darkness within. Once she knew it was defeated, the blonde warrior let out a deep sigh and slid down to the ground, resting on her knees as she tried to catch her breath.
“We…did it…” she said, her eyes slowly moving towards Tuxedo Kamen, her heart beginning to race as she remembered what happened just before the fight. What was going to happen now?
Well, obviously sweep you off your feet. Rushing forward, he scooped Sailor Moon up effortlessly, before carrying her off where there wasn’t going to be a huge crowd, somewhere that held meaning to them both: the rooftop of the OSA-P Jewelry store. “ Yeah, guess we did. “ A warm smile broke his otherwise calm features, setting Sailor Moon on her feet before running a hand through his hair sheepishly. “So--explanation time. It’s... a long, complicated story. Do you have time to listen? “
Should he have stayed? Yeah, but he was a wimp. He could only watch her go, though, for a few minutes.. before starting to run after her. She was faster than him, and after a while, he had to stop and catch his breath, leaning against a wall and doubling over. A week or so went by before he saw her again. It felt like an eternity. Sipping yet another cup of coffee ( Motoki was pissed at him for hurting Usagi, so local cafe it was ) he looked up to the bell ringing-- great, this was Usagi’s favorite bakery. Why did he come here, again? He almost left. Almost. ( He missed her too much to go through with it, ) “ Odango.” The nickname was less harsh, as he walked over to her with a small smile. “... Cake’s on me today, yeah? “
There was some slight relief at the fact that he was going to explain things, despite the fear she felt about actually knowing. Unfortunately, the shock of her discovery couldn’t last long, as the youma was losing patience and he was now taunting them.
“Be careful!” she cried out, watching in awe as the two began to duke it out. Not wanting to be useless in this fight, the blonde warrior took off along the side, concentrating her energy and pulling off her tiara.
It wouldn’t do a tone of damage, but it could distract the youma long enough for Tuxedo Kamen to get in a few strong attacks.
“Moon Tiara Action–!!”
Her voice echoed around her as her tiara began to glow, then was released through the air, heading straight for the monster.
The youma faltered, trying to dodge the tiara and unwittingly letting its guard down. Tuxedo Kamen charged up a blast and made direct contact with the youma’s back. It fell to the ground, pins scattered in all directions. “ Let’s end this-- Moon-chan! She’s weak, go get her! “ Explanation time, probably. Great. Dual personality wasn’t what was going on, but it would have to do. How was he supposed to tell her that he was an ancient prince, of all things? ( He couldn’t believe it, either. )
Her face burned even more as he rubbed her being a kissing virgin in her FACE. She was intimidated by the way he looked at her. He looked so angry but also full of emotion that she couldn’t identify.
Was she in actual trouble?
He was so close against her, and she could feel how strong he was. He was fit, she had to give him that.
Before she could come up with an insult to shut him up, his mouth was on hers again. Usagi was going to shove him away, but the tenderness of his kiss threw her off guard completely, her body responding before she could even think. There was a soft moan against his mouth, her body slumping against his as she imagined that she wasn’t kissing Mamoru, but the guy she really liked.
That was when she realized what was happening. As he drew back, looking at her like he…like he…
“N-NOOOO~!” she cried out, pushing him away from her as hard as she could. Tears sprang from her eyes as she began to sob. Her first kiss should have been with him, not this jerk! It was all ruined! For the rest of her life, she’d remember her first kiss being rough and stolen from her by a person who didn’t even like her!
He only kissed her to try and prove a point!
She felt like trash and started to shake, a mixture of anger and sadness filling her. Damnit, she mentally growled, frustrated that she couldn’t stop the overflow of tears running down her face.
“You–You bastard!” she shrieked. “My first kiss was supposed to be special! Not…Not used to prove something! Don’t you care at all about a girl’s feelings?!”
That actually hurt. Hearing her cry like this-- not theatrically, like she usually did, but.... he had hurt her. And it wasn’t something he could fix. If he could, he would fix it. He didn’t want to see her cry like this... .....he didn’t want to be the reason she cried. He stood, almost frozen in place, his jaw locking in place as he tried to focus on not crying, too. Mabe he was a heartless bastard-- after all, this was Tsukino Usagi, the one girl in Juuban that deserved the sun and moon... ...and he took something so precious from her. Something he couldn’t give back.
“ Usagi. “ ...it was the first time he hadn’t called her Odango Atama, he realized, as he hesitated before walking over, to hug her close. “ .... I‘m sorry. But, contrary to popular belief, I do care. Especially about one girl in particular. The one person that deserves the sun and moon...” “..something that I couldn’t give you, even if I tried. “
His voice held an underlying tone of.... guilt....regret.... of sadness and remorse. It wasn’t normal for Mamoru to be so...so vulnerable in front of someone, especially Usagi.
Suddenly, he stood, letting go of Usagi and turning his back to her. “You know.... they say that the best thing you can do for someone you love is to let them go... not sure if that’s how I feel about you... but I feel something, and I’m not sure what it is. So, uh... yeah. There’s that.” Swallowing thickly, he ran a hand through his shaggy hair, not even daring to look at her. He hoped she could forgive him, but... she needed her space right now, and he needed....time, to figure this out.
“Goodbye, Tsukino Usagi. Until next time.”
While she was a complete mess on the inside for transforming in front of the biggest bully she knew, on the outside, Sailor Moon was ready for action.
What does this thing want from us?! What will happen?!
The youma’s shocked voice pulled her from her thoughts, her head turning to see Mamoru standing completely still. He looked so…so familiar. Listening to his cool words, she took a step back.
“W-What are you talking about?” she murmured under her breath, eyes wide. She shielded herself when golden light sparkled around him. “Mamoru!” she cried, worried that another attack had taken hold of him.
When the light dimmed and Tuxedo Kamen was standing there, Sailor Moon forgot to breathe.
T-Tuxedo Kamen…?! He is Chiba Mamoru? N-No! That’s impossible!
Her heart was erratic as her brows furrowed in confusion. How could this be? The man she admired for so long, who saved her whenever she was in trouble, who she dreamed about at night…he was the same person that treated her like garbage every day! Sailor Moon felt faint briefly, her hand rushing to her temple as she gasped for some air.
His sheepish words forced her to shake her head, navy eyes landing on the youma in front of them.
“Y-You’re right. But we are definitely talking afterwards,” she said firmly, not allowing herself to look at him. If she did, she’d crumble, and she couldn’t afford that right now.
“ Of course. “ There was an unrecognizable expression in his eyes-- sadness that belonged neither to Tuxedo Kamen nor Mamoru. He’d have to explain to her what his exact situation was. Not fun. Snapping out of it, he realized he could feel more of the Golden Crystal’s power, as a small ball of energy appeared in his palm. Was it because Mamoru wanted to save Usagi so badly? The youma took a few steps back, feeling the energy spike from Tuxedo Kamen. “Oh, this is just great-- don’t tell me you’re an actual threat!!! “
“Actually.... I am.” With a grin, he suddenly dashed forward, loosing a few energy balls that took the youma by surprise. “Since when wasn’t I a threat, though?” he teased, laughing before getting swiped at with a pin. Dodge, Tuxy, dodge!
“ ....that’s cutting it a little close.” “ That’s the point. “ “ No sense of humor either--got it. “
To say she was infuriated would be an understatement.
–It really all started when Mamoru teased her for never having been kissed. It wasn’t her fault that the boys in her school didn’t see how cute she was! Outside of Umino, who was just….no.
Unfortunately, like always, their conversation turned into a huge argument, then into all all-out screaming match. She was too stubborn and embarrassed to stop defending herself, and she believed her own words when she said he was probably a bad kisser anyway and wouldn’t understand.
She didn’t quiet down until Mamoru had his mouth all over hers. Her body froze, her heart throbbing in her chest as her mind tried to process just what was HAPPENING.
She was in a daze when he pulled back. That had been her first kiss. And it had been so…so much and she was feeling things she couldn’t explain.
All because of HIM.
There was a thrill of fear and exhilaration flowing through her as her own eyes flickered back to life, a hiss escaping her as she shoved against him angrily. “You…You bastard! You just stole my first kiss! If that’s what you call that a kiss!”
Don’t let him see how he affects you. Don’t let him know!
---and he was an ass. The fact that it was Usagi’s first kiss had completely slipped his mind, the upperclassman letting her words register before slipping back into his uncaring facade.
“ ----what? Are you serious?! Okay, now it’s really obvious that you’ve never kissed anyone-- I KISS LIKE A CHAMP, OKAY?” He was still pressed against her, blue eyes absolutely burning with the determination to prove to her that he was, in fact, not a terrible kisser. Careful, Chiba, he mentally chided himself, the boy biting his lower lip in thought... ....you could easily get addicted to this. ...but what was this?
With that, he kissed her again-- swiftly, tenderly, the kind of kiss that takes your breath away when you least expect it. Anger soon gave way to guilt, as he gave her the tender, sweet kiss he thought she deserved. ----what should’ve been her first. His hand rose to cup her cheek in the most tender gesture he could muster, his fingertips brushing against her bangs.... whoops, he’s actually starting to like this, send help!
Her hands were trembling, her heart pounding inside of her chest as she began to panic. It only got worse when the youma called. her. out. in front of Mamoru.
What do I do now? The youma just outed me…!
“Shhh, Mamoru, save your strength!” she tried to distract him. Quickly looking around, she saw that the area was mostly deserted now. She’d be pretty safe to…
Mamoru’s cry pulled her from her thoughts, her tearful eyes widening as she realized what the pin was doing. Her friends would be awfully angry at her for what she was about to do, but if she simply did nothing, then Mamoru would…
“ENOUGH.”
Getting to her feet, she felt almost out of her body as she stared at the youma with a gaze full of hate.
“You’re terrible for coming here and scaring people, hurting them, and for following me like a creep!” Her chest began to glow as light burst forth, swirling around her slender body.
“Moon Prism Power…Make Up!”
By the time the light faded, Sailor Moon was standing before the youma, her eyes burning with emotion. “I will not let you hurt him any more! If you want me so badly, here I am!”
No way. No friggin’ way.
It was almost surreal as he watched Usagi transform-- the girl he teased every day... she was Sailor Moon? It was almost unbelievable... As she transformed, he felt an inexplicable tug on his heart, almost like he was gravitating towards her...
.....shit, he was going to black out again, wasn’t he? At least... that’s what he thought was happening.
Slowly, he stood, a blank expression on his face. Golden sparks shot from his fingertips as he prepared to transform, the youma too busy grinning at Sailor Moon to notice him. “Ohohoho! Good, good~ I knew you had a connection with that boy, but-- uh...” The youma outright stared at Mamoru, currently standing like the pin didn’t even faze him. “...h....How did you get up, boy?!”
“ Because I’m a lot stronger than you think. “ With a mysterious, Cheshire-esque smile that Tuxedo Kamen was known to sport, the youma put two and two together.... and realized what was going on. “ Oh god, not you! I’m all for pummeling the Moon girl, but I don’t feel like messing with---” “ Me? Well, hate to burst your bubble, but I can’t exactly let you go...wherever you live to tell the Generals her secret, right? ....or mine.” “ ffffffffffffffff------------!!!!!!“ With a laugh, the sparks then consumed his body in a golden blaze, revealing his tuxedo. “Sorry, what was that? Can’t hear you over your “plan” completely caving. I’d hope you’d know who I am...”
Stepping over to stand beside Sailor Moon, the masked man smiled sheepishly at her. “I’ll explain later. Right now, we have a youma to defeat, right?”
Great, Usagi got them kicked out of Crown for yelling. Dragging his infuriating nemesis into a nearby alley, he all but shoved her against the wall-- oh my god she’s not shutting up. “ Would you just--- shut up for one goddamn second and LET ME TALK. “ Pissed beyond belief, Mamoru decided to do something very, very stupid. Cue the upperclassman yelling at the girl to SHUT THE HELL UP FOR ONE SECOND and kissing the everloving daylights out of her. ( it all started because Usagi dared to question his kissing abilities, anyways. ) Pulling away, he huffed angrily, before slowly realizing.... oh no, he wanted to do it again.
“Are you going to shut up now and finally admit that I know what I’m doing?” His lips were inches away from hers, navy hues burning into the smaller girl’s. That’ll show you for calling me a bad kisser!
