"It’s a pleasure, Eldrad. And yes." Luke nodded softly in confirmation. "Well… Not… really through genetic DNA or such, she adopted me. I’m her son." The boy couldn’t help but wonder how Eldrad knew his mum. Perhaps she was a creature that Sarah Jane had met in her travelling days with the doctor.

"Did you know her at all then? I mean… Are you two friends?" Luke asked, almost a little hesitant as it occurred to him that most aliens Sarah Jane seemed to meet wanted to destroy Earth.

"Adopted," she repeated. "You are her son, yet you are..adopted?" Eldrad should learn about Earth ways, as they are so different from her own planet, and customs.

"Yes. I knew her, for a short while, at least," came the reply. "I do not know the answer to your last questions. Friends." She tilted her head. "In the beginning, perhaps."

"I do not recall your face," Eldrad replied. Even if it was a long time ago, she would remember, but nothing rang a bell - until the Doctor was mentioned. "The Doctor?" She repeated with mild surprise. "What is there to tell? I am the last one left."
