The boy was unquestioning at first, and only seemed to ask once it had become a curiosity. Yet nothing about why this stranger needed to know the date. But that of if the date was important. His reasoning seemed quite different to that of most humans he’d ever encountered in his life, and so The Doctor became quite intrigued. “No, not really. I just lost my bearings there for a moment. You know how it is, sometimes you just drift away. Sorry.”

"Oh. It's alright." Luke responded, smiling to the man with a look of understanding. He personally didn't get that drifted off feeling all too often, however, he did know of when people just kind of went into their own little worlds for a while. "Are you okay anyway? I mean, do you need a lift anywhere? My car's just around the corner."

"He's regenerated eleven times?!" Luke's eyes widened, his hands sliding into his pockets as he shook his head gently, half of him bewildered and half having an intrigued little smile. "He could live forever by the sound of it..."

From the window of her home, the vampire watched as a taxi pulled up her street, to her surprise, and a figure stepped out. Male, most certainly lost. Poor boy, she couldn’t help but feel pity as she made her way out the door and out on the sidewalk

Turning in his direction when her shoulder was tapped, she offered a warm smile. “It’s alright, darling. I happen to get lost quite a few times. You are in Fright Side, near the cemetery. Where were you wanting to go?”

"...Fright side?" Luke had never even heard of such a place, he placed his hands on his hips and huffed out slightly. He'd never even heard of such a place. Why was he dropped off here when he told the taxi driver that he needed to get to a place in suburban London?

"Where about in England is that? I was hoping to get to Ealing. Ever heard of it?" He asked, pressing his lips out, slightly irritated that he'd been dropped off somewhere completely alien to him.

Susan didn’t have much experience with the whole ‘college life’ thing, but she’d always been meaning to check out a campus. Sure, she didn’t finish her high school life, but if she did, she most defiantly would’ve wound up in a place like Oxford University. As the blonde looked around the semi-empty hallways, peaking into a few class rooms, she noticed someone across the hallway writing something on the board. She didn’t really think that someone should be doing that, but hell if she could do anything about it.

"You were just…?" She asked.

Luke lowered his pen to the side slowly and then looked over to the notice board, and then back to the girl. "...Spell checking." Luke responded quietly, biting his lip and then curling up in a ball inside. He guessed the correct answer would have been drawing small doodles of a genitalia on the wall, or cussing on the wall. But no, he had to say the truth. "I just... noticed some things when I was looking them over and..." Luke laughed nervously and then took a step back."Sorry."

She gave a nod in agreement. Not even in her planet was it a key to trust, but perhaps on Earth things were different, which was highly likely. “Yes, I…suppose I am. Sparkling.” Eldrad stole a glance at her arm and the edges of her mouth twitched. Sparkling, indeed, though mainly in the light.

"I am..Eldrad." Smith. His last name sparked her interest. "Sarah Jane, are you related to her?"

"It's a pleasure, Eldrad. And yes." Luke nodded softly in confirmation. "Well... Not... really through genetic DNA or such, she adopted me. I'm her son." The boy couldn't help but wonder how Eldrad knew his mum. Perhaps she was a creature that Sarah Jane had met in her travelling days with the doctor.

"Did you know her at all then? I mean... Are you two friends?" Luke asked, almost a little hesitant as it occurred to him that most aliens Sarah Jane seemed to meet wanted to destroy Earth.
