it’s characteristic for jane to huff hastily as she sets herself down next to her fellow volturi member. bag crashing on the ground , she leans back drastically in her seat , looking at chelsea with annoyance. “ this place sucks. it’s absolute torture of aro to make us come here , chelsea. it’s revolting. i’ve already ruined a pair of shoes because of the mud and it stinks ! it’s almost as though even the human blood is infected , and the dogs don’t help it any. ” she pouts , looking at the other. “ i wanna go home. ”

chelsea was born under the name charmion over three thousand years ago, though she can’t quite pinpoint when after so long. from a young age, she had a certain...gift to persuade people, to befriend them or create chaos among relationships. she found it funny how quickly she could convince others with nothing but words and an innocent smile.
she was nothing but a young maiden in a small greek town when aro found her. for some reason he found her suitable enough to join his small but growing coven. it was only after she turned that they realized just why she could be so persuasive. charmion possessed a unique power; one that she used to bind the leaders and eventually the guards of the coven to aro, to enhance their loyalty to her creator. from that moment on, the volturi were created and charmion was considered uniquely valuable to them and therefor, could never leave them.
over the years, she has gone through several names to keep her identity, as well as the coven’s true nature, safe when out about interacting wih humans and other vampires. it’s much easier to land prey when you’re seemingly friendly. eventually she picked out the name chelsea in the 1950′s and has stuck with it until she grows bored or it goes out of fashion.
due to her power, chelsea has gathered a few perks within the coven. she wears the darkest cloaks and often gets what she wants from who she wants when she wants it. all it takes is a little persuasion and a smile...for the most part. while she might think she is crucial to them, there is a reason why she has stayed for as long as she has.
chelsea found her mate many decades ago and made sure they were allowed to stay in the volturi for as long as she is there as well.
using her power on others usually fades over time in her absence. but as long as she is close by, the “spell” is continuous.

leah lived a perfectly normal, human life for the first few years of her life. she was happy with her family and her friends, content with living in the reservation, listening to the elders telling stories of the old days. she could see herself growing up and building a family here one day.
she was in her senior year of high school when she met the one; the person she knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. sam uley completely swept her off her feet and everyone around them could see how perfect they were together...for a while.
all of a sudden, everything changed. leah didn’t know what happened but after being gone for a while, sam came back different. he behaved like someone she didn’t recognize and she couldn’t get through to him for some reason. eventually he broke things off, leaving leah completely heartbroken. she relied on her cousin, her best friend in the whole wide world for support, but even that didn’t last long.
once emily and sam announced their relationship, it was like leah’s entire being went numb. in place of the happy girl she once was stood a bitter angry woman instead. leah refused to accept the relationship, the betrayal. she didn’t care for their happiness when they were so callous with her own. they didn’t deserve their happily ever after if she couldn’t have her own.
leah closed herself off to the world, showing nothing but disdain toward others. her head was confused and her heart hurt more than words could ever explain. and it kept building up inside her until the day it all changed yet again. leah was arguing against her parents’ plea for peace with emily and sam; they tried to reason with her without giving so much as an explanation as to why they pressed the matter so hard. leah had already been feeling like complete crap with a stupid flu, she didn’t want to talk about them. and then something in her just...clicked. her body twisted and turned until a large wolf was standing in her place. she didn’t know what was happening but her father...his eyes told her he did. he just wasn’t expecting such thing to happen to his own daughter. and that was clear in the way the old man clutched his chest and toppled over. she killed him.
as if things weren’t bad enough, leah was thrown into a whole other world where she was a shapeshifter in a pack of wolves lead by none other than sam. and from the moment she joined his pack, things just kept getting worse. mind reading, thought sharing, imprinting...for fucks sake, just kill her already.
