Checking off the last thing on the list she had. Luster Dawn proceeded to hang up the welcome banner for the party.

“The party seems all set to go.”

All set? Then it was time to drop the facade. With a smile, the broken Horne dunicorn let her hood down and said, “You remind me a lot of her..."

Putting a hoof to her chin, she would look around at all the decor Luster had worked so hard to set up and commented, "She had plenty of stories to tell. I used to wonder what friendship could be."

Fizzlepop then glanced the pupil's way and winked at her, "And then she went and shared its magic with me."

“If you say so, Listen I have alot to finish for Miss Twilights party before all the guests arrive. I have to make sure all the magical wards are in place so nothing too crazy insues.”

The cloaked figure nodded in understanding as she looked about, noting the decorations and layout, "Looks like Twilight taught you well when it came to organization skills. This is impressive."

In a more hushed tone, she muttered, "I wonder if any of the friendship lessons happened yet..."

Shocked by the strange cloaked ponies appearance. Luster tiled her head 

“And who are you by chance? Did Miss Twilight send you? I already told her I got this handled.”

With that said, Luster levitated the scroll detailing the party tasks and checked off snack assorting.

“I have a lot more tasks to finish before the party is fully ready for any guests.”

The cloaked unicorn gave the other a small chuckle and stated matter of factly, "I guess you can say the Princess sent for me."

She wondered how long she can keep up the thinly veiled ruse. Surely Luster would figure it out eventually. Her old friend did raise a sharp pupil after all. Fizzlepop was honestly surprised she was not found out when she walked in the door. Perhaps Luster really was that distracted?

Months following her move to ponyville. Luster Dawn had made a couple new friends and began learning more about friendship. Today though, she was helping set up a small party gathering to meet some of Twilight’s old friends from across Equestria and beyond.

“Ok, Is this right snack assortment? if I remember correctly, Miss Tempest did not like anything overly sweet, right?”

Looking over the list again, Luster Dawn quickly rearranged the snack and drink ratio on the table. 

“The guests arrive later this afternoon. I hope this goes over well, I’ve never been good at this party stuff.”

A meeting with the former commander of the Storm King? A rare opportunity indeed. It’s been a long time since she had been called that, and even longer since she took using her real name seriously. Thankfully for her, it has been long enough that the Canterlot siege is little more than a blip in history. Compared to what came later and before in the kingdom's last, there was little reason to hang onto it.

For the prized pupil, she would have a chance to meet Fizzlepop early, as the broken horned unicorn strolled up to the table and asked, "How can I help?"

She had a smug smile on her face, one of the few things visible underneath her cloak. There was a good number of perks of being out of the battlefield for so long. Sometimes it’s easier to sneak up on ponies when you are not so easily recognized.

“Mhm.” Dave said and seeing that she was too Tired, he put her on his back. The guards cheering as they saw that their prince had won and were happy about it.

Their gear soon followed in his magical grasp and the tools started to follow him as he walked away with her on his back.

Intending to place her somewhere she could rest.

She watched idly as she was carried off to who knows where. At this time, she was too weak to struggle, so instead she opened to ask him, "Where are you taking me?"

As her ferocity increased, the more he seemed to be forces to keep up.

He parried, jabbed and kicked. Now each seeming to get blows, dodges, and counters.

Some of the guards where watching them. Yelling encouragement to their Prince, whom was now using his wings to dodge by rolling over, using them for close quarter combat that no usual Pegasus would use them, and even using his horn as a defensive and offensive instrument.

And he wasn’t kidding on being equal. He was keeping up quite well. If not surpassing her. Even if it seemed he was holding a tad back.

Fighting extended fights was not her specialty and mere minutes after her burst of strength and tenacity it had all but vanished. As she went in for a punch, one of Dave’s punches to the jaw was enough to send her toppleing backward, panting softly for a brief moment before she shakily attempted to get to her hooves. She couldn’t…

Her legs seemed to give out under her and she fell back to the floor once more. Pride be darned, there was no way she could continue this fight.

Dave looked down at her as she toppled down and put a leg on her shoulder. Both a move to check on her and to hold her down.

“Do you yield?” He asked calmly enough. His breathing only slightly elevated, he hasn’t exactly been running a marathon but this guy had some stamina on him.

She nodded weakly, "Buck you and your muscular Alicorn body..."

The unicorn wasn't all that serious about that, but she had to admit that she was now jealous of him too. She may vary well be one of the strongest unicorns out there in terms of physicality, but even she was hardly a match for the male Alicorn. It was kind of hard not to be the least bit jealous. But at the same time, she admired his strength all the same. In the Storm king's army, strength was everything, and he just beat her...

If anything, this proved that there is always somepony stronger than you, and thankfully this pony didn't want her head... Well, not anymore it seems.

Dave backed off and gave a snort. The kick hitting his jaw and causing him to bite his lip which made him shake his head.

“Not bad.” He said and spat blood out of his mouth. “Though you’re leaving yourself too open. A novice will be blindsided but a veteran can read you right off.” He said. Putting some battle banter between the two.

“ So show me what you got. Or are you too tired?” He asked and his scowl said that he wouldn’t be very impressed if she was.

She frowned as he attack appears to be no selled. She was sure she was going to get more of a reaction than a split lip... During her training, she was more geared towards ending fights quickly with fast descicive blows, so seeing her attacks get brushed aside so easily frustrated her, but in a good way. Her horn sparked in defiance as she righted herself to face him, "Tired? I am just getting started!"

The unicorn bounded towards him again, throwing blow after blow at him, some meant for distractions, others meant to knock him on his rear. Despite how futile her efforts seemed, she didn,t look any closer to wanting to give up. In fact, the longer they would fight, the more ferocious her attacks became.

Dave still stood still as she made her Move, not falling for the front, but dodging the blow that came his way for his head.

He then retaliated with a kick to her gut. And it looked like he wasn’t pulling any punches either. So if it would strike. It would hurt. A lot.

Fizzlepop was knocked back, skidding across the floor from the force of Dave’s blow and tearing off a little bit of her suit. She didn’t seem too phases however, as she was able to get back up quickly. No, if anything this seemed to make her more excited. She grinned widely as she charged forward once again, this time going for a straight jab at the Alicorn’s jaw. No fancy theatrics, no tricks, just a straight measure of her strength going up against a stronger foe.

At this he blocked and countered with an instinctive headbutt. Since she was so close, his combative side knew it wouldn’t stand to chance to do much else.

Then for a follow up. He attempted to go for her legs. Stun, sweep then kick to her stomach. One two and get her down. That was the plan at least.

Once again Fizzlepop found herself being dragged along the dirt floor of the arena by the force of Dave's attacks. This time she seemed a little more shaken upon standing, still dazed from her blow to the head, but otherwise she insisted on continuing the fight. She went to strike at him again, throwing out her hind legs with all the force she could muster to buck him into the air. She knew it wasn't the brightest idea, but she was having too much fun getting beaten to care. It has been forever since somepony had her outmatched like this, and it was more exciting than anything she has experienced in the last few weeks.

“Do whatever you like.” He said to her. “I don’t mind getting bruises or a bloody nose if that’s what you mean.” He said to her as he followed, then led to where the guards usually sparred with each other.

There. He took off his gear. First his coat. Then the pistol strapped to his side, his backup and then the kukri he had on him. Then considered, then took a small throwing knife set from under his shirt which he kept in emergencies.

Then looked at her. Moving to the ring and then standing still inside it. Giving her the first move.

Fizzlepop did actually hang up her armor so to speak. If he was going to take off his coat and weapons, so would she. She cast aside her armor, leaving her in her skin tight catsuit that kept her armor from chafing her body and took up somewhat of a offensive stance while she looked him over. Judging by her expression, she was sizing him up, judging the best place to strike before she lunged forward, legs swinging wide in a sweeping motion aiming for the Alicorn's legs.

This action was a feint however, as midway through the action she pulled her leg back and twirled her body around, swinging her opposite leg up high and aiming for Dave's Head.

Dave looked at her. A curious look on his face but he didn’t seem to quite notice her excitement yet.

“These are the options on the table Fizzle. And I do recommend you take it. Find a man that can keep up. Start a family. Don’t look back.” He said with earnest bluntness to her.

“Anything else?” He asked her.

She looked away slightly, suddenly feeling uneasy to keep eye contact with him, “I… Uh… I am not so sure I am ready to give up fighting. It’s been a big part of my life for many years now. It’s not exactly easy to just stop.”

She nearly knocked out a pony the other day that tried to hug her… Even if she could settle down, it was not going to be something she could do over night. No, it’s a gradual change, but one she doubts she can do alone. The unicorn sighed, “Besides, what kind of stallion would be interested in me? I am a little too rough around the edges, and that is without the armor.”

“That is something that can be helped with. As for fighting I don’t blame you on that. It’s training. It’s ingrained into you. The moving the step by step pace that you need to have. It’s a dance you simply can’t stop dancing.” He said with a bit of a smile at that.

“Speaking of which.” He said as he looked at her. “Wouldn’t be a bad idea to see what you can do. You need a routine. And having a sparring partner on your level helps.” He said to her.

"Are you offering to spar with me?"

Finally, something she could get behind! She grinned widely as a mischievous glint flashed across her eyes, "I will admit, you do seem like the kind of stallion that can keep up with me."

As she headed for the door, she flicked her tail slightly in his direction and asked, "Do you prefer full contact sparring, padded, magical or physical?"

“I can tell by your look. That you aren’t taking the news to well. And that’s the point. You aren’t supposed to. I gave you advice on what I think would be the best course of action.” He said simply to her.

“The rest. Is up to you.” He said to her and gave her a firm look. That would tell her he was being whole heartily earnest to her.

She sighed as she stood up from her seat. Now seeing eye to eye with the Alicorn, so to speak, she asked, “Is this really what you would do if you were me?”

Fizzlepop didn’t really want an answer, but she wound up asking him anyway. It is not like he had to answer her either. In fact, she had already made her piece and he listened. He didn’t have to stick around any longer then he needed to. This thought prompted her to ask another question, “I suppose the better question would be, why are you giving me advice when you could be elsewhere doing more important things with your life?”

He thought for a moment. Giving it a serious thought. After a while. He gave his answer.

“You remind me. A bit of myself when I was younger. Brazen and daring. I did a lot of stupid things. I did a lot of things that I regret. And you’re going trough the same thing I went trough when I had no guidance and only a time machine to keep me company. And I want to give you a chance. As for the advise I gave you. Yes. Yes I suggest you make an effort of going for it. You’re going to kick yourself forever if you don’t at least try. Your ass got a good kicking, so what? You’re alive and you still have a future yet you won’t see it because you keep burying your face in the sand.” He said in a stern but honest. Blunt honest tone to her.

“So take a chance. Hang the armor and start anew while you still have the chance.”

Her heart rate quickenedas he talked. She couldn't quite place it, but his words resonated with something in her. It was similar to the thrill of combat, the feeling of a good spar and yet it was completely different. It was exciting and new, and certainly welcome at a time like this. She stared at him for a few moments as a small blush began to form on her muzzle. She stared at him a few moments longer after he had already finished speaking, and by the time she was able to form a coherent word, she was at a loss for them, "W-wow..."

Fizzlepop took a step forward and took a seat at the table in front of him, her eyes planted clearly on the table in front of her. It was hard to look him in the eyes, to stand or in this case, sit with somepony that you had almost gotten killed. She half expected him to fly across the table and beat her into a pulp, but it was by the Princesses good graces that nopony dared do so. It wasn’t like she was going to stop anyone from trying.

After her brutal attack on Canterlot in the name of the Stormking, she expected riots to break out knowing that she was free, and yet there were none. In fact it seemed like all had forgiven her to some extent… All except him. And that was why she wanted to meet with him face to face. She wanted to prove that she no longer bore any ill will to Equestria, that she can be a better pony. If she was going to do that, she had to make an effort to right her wrongs… That included apologizing to him.

She sighed as she looked up, finally looking him in the eye and stated, “Listen, I know you don’t want to see me right now. Not after what I did. But I don’t want there to be any lingering grudges between us.”

“I can tell by your look. That you aren’t taking the news to well. And that’s the point. You aren’t supposed to. I gave you advice on what I think would be the best course of action.” He said simply to her.

“The rest. Is up to you.” He said to her and gave her a firm look. That would tell her he was being whole heartily earnest to her.

She sighed as she stood up from her seat. Now seeing eye to eye with the Alicorn, so to speak, she asked, "Is this really what you would do if you were me?"

Fizzlepop didn’t really want an answer, but she wound up asking him anyway. It is not like he had to answer her either. In fact, she had already made her piece and he listened. He didn't have to stick around any longer then he needed to. This thought prompted her to ask another question, "I suppose the better question would be, why are you giving me advice when you could be elsewhere doing more important things with your life?"
