he wants to chuckle bitterly, but he knows his ribcage is going to break or something if he lets himself do that. so he settles on making an unimpressed face. they’re hidden, far from the empire ( he thinks, he has no idea, for how long now have they been in space? ), far from people in general, so they should be safe.

but fine?there’s no way orson’s ever going to be fine again.

there’s no way living like a peasant or a slave on some backwater planet is going to be an acceptable end. what is he supposed to do? become a farmer? he’s not galen, thank you very much.

he closes his eyes under the pain his body is still under and allows himself a sigh.it’s an angry one. but if he’s to return to the empire, he’s as good as dead. which he’s not too far from right now.

he opens his eyes to look at the bounty hunter and wonders...

because of all the people to stay loyal, true to him, orson wouldn’t have thought this one to be it.
