A mood

The young lady was one of those who liked the stories online of those called creepypastas. She didn't believe the place, or his place, was real and just down the street from her. It was his, the brother with the roses, mansion but had been abandoned for years it seemed. She walked in with a flashlight and began to shine it around

He was tired, lurking in the shadows of this old building, waiting for another visitor to stumble in here. It has always been the same: people hear about the stories and want to know if they’re true. And they were. 

It surprised him how people would ignore “girl went missing near the old house” messages constantly to see for themselves what was going on in the haunted villa. Poor choice but good for him. Food went right into his arms so why would he complain? While Slenderman himself prefered the hunt, James was more of a lazy guy and always tried to lure people in here - often enough the magic of stories brought them to him anyway.

It was clear someone just entered the villa, he could tell by the significant smell of fear crawling through the old, dusty building. Now he would just wait a bit to let the human think they were safe...
