Yuuki shrugged their shoulders. If they jumped to conclusions all the time, they’d hurt their legs. Misunderstandings here… would be pretty bad. Especially for the more impulsive of their classmates.
“If it was real blood, and I accidentally walked in on someone doing something shady, I’d probably be dead by now.” To shut them up, of course.
Ew. Plap. They cringed as well, definitely not enjoying that sound. “Gross.” Jun had a point though; this room definitely did seem a bit… grim. It made them think this was… intentional. Like they knew this whole place was going to become a murder haven and wanted to prepare accordingly.
“Honestly, it’s hard for me to get the point to this whole place. It seems like it was built with that Daichi-murder-bot’s stupid fucking game in mind. Giving everyone the tools they need to fuck each other up, and shit.” They shook their head. “Wonder who set it up.”
Why were they here? Good question. They didn’t have much of a reason, admittedly.
“I’m just wandering. Seeing everything new. Know where I live, or whatever. This like any recording studio you’ve been in?” After the trial, they finally took the time to try and attach names to everyone’s faces, and they… thought they knew who everyone was now. “They call ‘em talent labs, but they don’t really match up to any of our talents. Who’s it for, then?” A mysterious second group of students? What nonsense.
“Ha, yeah, I can’t imagine that kind of thing going well even outside of this place. But yeah... I dunno. Even if someone twisted this into a murder-encouraged setup, I still want to believe this is actually a Neo Hope’s Peak building, you know. Cause then it means I didn’t waste my time accepting that invite trying to make something of myself.”
There was a scowl to punctuate his words, though at least since Jun directed it at the pile of blood packets rather than Yuuki, it was clearly not directed at them.
But he glanced around the macabre looking recording studio once more, focusing specifically on some of the more grotesque looking props on offer to consider Yuuki’s questions.
“Kinda is, kinda isn’t. I’ve only just started getting in proper recording studios myself, so maybe I’m missing something. But the equipment checks out. The costumes and stuff... yeah, I think this is for a very specific genre we’re missing out on here if it’s not just a murder game ploy. Maybe down to whoever has the funds or whatever to set up a murder house that just... sucks all the murder evidence away somewhere.”
“The entrance to this section mentions something about these being for ‘noteworthy students’-” Air quotes there. “Or something, right. Maybe they’re just showing off old students or something. Kinda sucks that they wouldn’t give their new students like me and you their own talent labs, but I guess it’s right up their museum alley. Who puts a school in a museum anyway?”
