The new facility / company is now called Echoshell.

Mr. Shade's replacement characters are Mr. Echo and Dr. Echo.

Navi's replacement character is named PATH.

Sebastian has two siblings who have also undergone Echoshell's experimentation.

Lopee no longer exists. Lore on the new timekeeper will release in the future!

Expendables have been renamed to Fragments, and are part of the Crystal Project. (I'm currently looking for the comment that originally suggested fragments; it was an amazing idea!)

The crystal will also have new lore related to the timeloops!

Eyefestation is now Eyefestival. Redesign isn't finished but she's canonically a lady shark :D The new name is because of a knockoff plushie that was found while discussing redesign work.

Sebastian is pansexual and single in canon. Shippers go crazy! However please do not try to roleplay shipping with me / my roleplay of Seb , I am uncomfortable writing romance with folk I'm not close with !

However, if you've made fanart, ship art, etc, of my designs, I'd always love to see it!

Extra boundaries:

Please don't bring up sebpainter to me! While I have nothing against the ship, my versions are brotherly in my eyes and the ship brings me discomfort.

Preferably don't bring gifs or images of Pressure as part of your ask. I want to separate from the game, especially with the idea that I'm now writing a different universe that will hopefully become a video game itself.

Project: SOLACE *is* planned to eventually be a (hopefully free) game outside of Roblox and even with its own eventual plushies!

That being said, I may have to redesign some characters a second time to enforce they're ocs now and avoid copyright 🫡

I'm curious if you guys would like to see some of my pre-existing ocs enter the project solace universe

Two that already have are Leon and Leo who do not originate from this universe (and Leon is usually a human-looking character!) and I haven't talked about Leo much on this blog but he's not only love interest to Leon but also an ex-echoshell employee in this universe

Some others I'm considering adding are Lucifer, who's often his own type of scientist, he would likely be under Echoshell until he changes for good

Lucifer is also intersex (I'm still learning how to properly write that into his character, any tips are appreciated!), bisexual, and a near-identical twin, meaning next up, his twin...

Taurus also engages in lab work however he's often times a fan of violence and will often be the violent intimidating factor of the two in interrogations

These two are very morally gray in the start. In most universes they run a whole crime empire but have a strict moral code against things like murdering innocent people, abuse, hurting children, and other such things (it's complicated in canon; as they're villain-to-good morally gray type, I'd be willing to expand if any interest was shown)

We also have Izador, who I'm actually working on revamping a little. Unfortunately I don't have many drawings of her but this would also be an extra reason for me to make her a proper ref sheet. She's a doctor and plant enthusiast, she's also lesbian and has a canon girlfriend who would probably also get a cameo if Izador was introduced. Only problem is I'm not sure where I'd place Izador, I was thinking she'd be great working for Echoshell's rival and be introduced as a help to our fish escapees.

These are some of the biggest characters I have in mind to potentially introduce. Lucifer and Taurus also both have LIs but they're written by my partner, @clock-of-the-leaf , so I'd discuss with them if they were to be introduced or not first

Just curious if anyone would be interested in these ocs entering this universe as well! I commonly tend to have this group of ocs + Leo and Leon stick together as they're so fun to write in different worlds, but I wanted to ask.

I'm willing to go further in depth but I'd have to put quite a few trigger warnings for Lucifer and Taurus as they have a much darker history than some of my other ocs 😭 Izzy not so much but potentially a few if I expand on her childhood at all

In short:

Lucifer and Taurus would likely be under Echoshell as scientists / entity keepers, potentially having worked with some of the other characters (though they're fairly young [20] so likely not having been part of the experiments on Sebastian or even Leon)

Izador would likely be under the rival company which does not have a name yet and would help over radio for part of the story until she's introduced in person

(for the record, the twins last name is in fact Morningstar, Lucifer is *not* the devil though. He often gets either mocked or feared for his name. He had really messed up parents 😭)

Would you be interested?

PolarZero is a company founded by Icarus Polaris that promised to find a way for humans and sea life to coexist, until they started human experimentation with one of PolarZero’s workers, Rodrigo Solace. Rodrigo was fooled to sign a contract to later on get sedated and get experimented on, after 5 years Rodrigo caused PolarZero lockdown which at first started in Floor 3 but later got spread around.

Ok this will sound crazy but I want opinions because I'm not sure if it's too much or not

Should Seb have a severe transformation in anger and mourning

He'd have hydra DNA which would cause him to mutate several heads and his dragon DNA would cause him to become more feral and animalistic, his snake DNA would allow his jaws to unhinge and you'd enter a "boss fight" in game

I want to truly make it horrifying when he hunts you down in certain routes. I'm currently working on his redesign with a couple others who are giving some amazing ideas as well

Go all out on this transformation idea?

Okay I'm genuinely blown away by the interest in a full transformation.

I'm going to experiment with different ideas including the ones above, I really want to go above and beyond with this project and I'm doing my best to bring new ideas with the team, so if anyone has any suggestions they're always welcome, even if they don't get implemented they can really spark some interesting stuff!

Painter design history!

So I was looking at the designs in comparison and thought it was funny how he's evolved

Last July, before I was even 18, I made a design of Painter with a body

You can see some of these elements in his new design. Especially the chest screen, the antenna, tail, and beret. Even the rainbow theme!

However you can also tell I sucked ass at drawing robots and just drew a human as robotic parts lmao

When making his new design I also took inspiration from his surroundings and from the idea that he's an artist. He loves color, so I incorporated it in his wires and face, especially since they have relevance for Sebastian to know if something needs fixing.

But genuinely the difference is insane. I also much prefer the simplified face I've given him, and I feel like his body has a lot more depth now. Like I still suck at drawing robots but I've definitely gotten better.

Overall I took inspiration from my own past design and the community as a whole. I've always loved the way that others have designed him to have thicker arms and legs, something about it gives him an almost artistic flow through his entire body, despite how rigid his head is as a rectangle.

Roy, planned character!

Roy is going to essentially be the dark mode version since he was Echoshell's attempt to replicate painter. HOWEVER, the personality difference is where it really gets fun. I can't get it out of my mind that Roy has a duck obsession and often displays more "childish" behaviors when he's content and safe (he will be playing with rubber ducks with Painter because how could anyone resist Roy's sad face)

However please keep in mind Roy is not a character I plan to infantilize. He will be complex and have layers just like Painter or even the human born characters. I'm especially projecting some of my own symptoms onto him, especially with the aspects of regression I deal with.

Currently neither Painter nor Roy have canonical ages and I'm working on how I wish to attempt that since I very rarely write robotic characters.

Also, fun fact; Roy wasn't planned. He happened because I found a rainbow brush and traced over painter's face. Eureka moment much? He did very quickly gain lore before I could say "haha just a silly joke"

I know these two don't have the most complex designs (er, I guess Roy doesn't have a finished design at all, he's like. A sketch) but I think you guys will really like PATH. She's based off Glados to a certain extent and the person drawing her official design has made her look SO cool. (He's on break for making a cosplay; so her release won't be out for a bit!)

Overall I'm very excited to share more. I've been on a small break myself especially since I have to also make a cosplay for a movie in June, and there's been a massive heatwave as well.

I've been scheming on the Sebastian redesign number 2, with help from @medkitwaffles who drew a gorgeous sketch after some discussion about ideas. If you have anything you'd like to see in the Sebastian redesign, please let me know! I'm currently planning to keep his dark blues color scheme with cyan, however, so he does have a pretty stable color scheme.

He's also going to be more dragonic this time because while that was originally the plan he didn't feel dragonic enough to me, even though a big chunk of his DNA will come from one of the dragon spirits that will be extremely plot relevant.

Leonis, because of this, has been paused since I really don't know where to go with his new design, since he was heavily based off Sebastian's appearance originally.

HOWEVER:

Sea bunnies have also gotten some work!

While they will remain similar in design, they will be very diverse, and have plenty of openings for fan designs of the little goobers. I'd actually like for the game to have a customization option for bunnies (as I'd like every player to have access to one, for free!) where you can change the features and colors and even give them little hats. However I'm not sure if that'll be too complex so we'll see lmao

Here's some sketch ideas I've created, they're awful but it was just to gain ideas

The single drawing of the one with wings is actually done on the Leon redesign sheet because it's his pet Sea Bun, who's name is Moth... So of course I have to give it moth wings!

The last one is a waffle sea bunny, inspired by a drawing I saw on Pinterest where somebody drew a regular sea bunny with a pancake on its head,, I'm going to give it different colorings based on the waffle flavor and the droopy ears are like maple syrup!

The jackalope type one will have different antler sizes and potentially hooves as the same person designing PATH drew the most adorable sketch of one with hooves (if he allows me to refine around that idea I'll 100% implement it!!)

The cat one was just because I thought it was kinda funny. Cat? Bunny? Feral rodent? Who knows!

We also had a lot of accepted suggestions for fan domestic species and will be working with the creators + adding them to the team if they continue to help with the species!

NOTICE: hiatus, upcoming, and behind the scenes stuff!

In preparation for the TADC movie event some of the team members (myself included) are working on things like cosplays, so there's been a temporary halt in work!

I've been handling some mental health stuff as well, but I seem to be slowly dropping my very wintery depressive stuff, which is good!

A lot of folk are also in the last stretch of school, whether they have a week or a month left, and a lot of peeps helping with the project are dealing with that too!

However I am working on redesigning Sebastian a second time as we realized that if the game ever gets larger and we want to make plushies or merch for fun, we could get copyrighted. Cuz while the game itself would be free, we'd need income somehow, and merch, art books, plushies, would all be one of the easiest ways.

However I don't want to change Seb's name so it's possible he gets a spelling change to his first name and consistently referred to with his middle name as well, it's a work in progress.

His little brother is also a work in progress since I'm completely changing the origin of the crystal and he was originally related to thor (which is where the crystal came from in pressure)

I'd also like to take a moment to remind you all, I am not writing pressure. A LOT of things are going to be branching off, and I'm doing my best to create new ideas to really expand and create a new world.

Also, any "redacted" lore in future files on any monsters, will have the information available in some form! Even if it's like a later reveal. I want all lore to eventually be discovered because I know how annoying redacted stuff is lol

The file system will work a bit different. Instead of a physical document, you'll have access to a computer that contains files on all discovered monsters. I'm thinking you'll pick up USBs instead of papers.

This is also why the Seb teaser was a computer!

As a treat, here's Painter and RGB / Roy on my second Tomodachi island.

(Roy is an upcoming character- an attempt by Echoshell to clone Painter to their liking. Roy ended up really liking ducks instead.)

Roy isn't portrayed entirely correct here as instead of the color bar on his side he has LEDs all around his screen, but I was lazy and used painter as a base
