all right I’m gonna be upfront: I have not talked to MC in any way, shape, or form once. unless you wanna count the one time she replied to a joke post explaining why the swearing was taken out of the comic, that’s been the complete extent of my interactions with her. And while I will NOT stand for “pics or it didn’t happen” regarding harassment, I’m going to ask you to take my word for it when I say I have not harassed and never will harass Michelle.
Pointing out the flaws in her comic and saying that she’s said some not-so-kind things is NOT harassment, it’s called being an aware consumer.

When you are in a fight with someone, it is a good idea to keep screencaps so that when/if the drama comes out a again, you have proof. Rather than, you know, a ridiculous she-said he said sort of thing. Because inevitably, things are going to be remembered wrong. Sometimes even, people go back and change their posts to make the other person look like the bad guy.
Screen shots prevent this from happening. I’ve seen this happen before in internet arguments plenty of times. I can no longer accept ‘take my word for it’ anymore.
That’s not creepy, that’s knowing how to argue your stance (which in this case, Michelle’s stance is ‘you’ve been harassing me, here is proof of it, I consider this harassment’). I mean, it’s clear right here. Ava’s eyebrows claims to like/appreciate Ava’s Demon. Their personal posts right there proves that to be a lie. If Michelle didn’t screenshot that, she’d have no way to refute it.
Also, you have no proof of Michelle actually ‘digging through’ that person’s blog recently. She may have saved these a long time ago, when they actually happened.
Also, isn’t kind of hypocritical that you’re saying it’s wrong for Michelle to do that anyway? You all dug through every bit of her personal history, from months ago, and kept receipts, didn’t you? In order to critique her. Why can’t Michelle do the same in order to defend herself?
Actually it is creepy because Michelle is a professional artist who, as someone who wants to make money and run a webcomic, has her stuff public. It’s called being an artist.
Michelle having evidence she has fucked up as a professional artist on the standards of professional behavior public doesn’t mean that a minor, who is venting with untagged posts (that don’t even appear anywhere implying MC had to dig to find that blog) because that’s not a public matter.
Michelle is a professional artist. As someone who puts their work out into the open, there’s going to be criticism because that’s what being an artist means. It means your critics have every right to dig up information on the shit you’ve done if you’ve never apologized for it. Your matters are made public? Then so will your consequences.
The posts in question are untagged, months old, and having them so far in advance towards the freezing of the blog imply Michelle stalked this person, demonstrating an imbalance of power in the replies between the two. Michelle can’t use private posts to “defend” herself because then she’s invaded someone else’s privacy just to drag them through the mud.
And that’s real fucking unprofessional of someone who’s supposed to be professional.
