Prayer is not a spell. Prayer is a heart to heart talk. Jesus is a friend that you can have heart to heart talk with.

The Difference between Man's Way and God's Way. Man's Way — is the opposite of God's Way.        — self-effort

God's Way

Keep it simple.

There is no verse in the bible that condemns short prayers.

Matthew 6:7 (NLT)     When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again.

Express your heart.

Even a simple expression can be a prayer.

Know that HE is your GOD.

When we pray, it shouldn't be about the "what?". (e.g. what we want, what we want to do, what we want to happen...) It's supposed to be the "Who?".

Points 1 and 2 wouldn't matter if you don't build a relationship with God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)     For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Bottomline: "It's not about how long or short, how loudly or softly you pray, but who you pray to that matters."

4 Spiritual Laws

God LOVES you and offers a wonderful plan for you.  John 3:16 (NKJV)     For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Man is sinful and separated from God.  Romans 3:23 (NKJV)     For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,  Romans 6:23 (NKJV)     For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for man's sin. He died in our place  Romans 5:8 (NKJV)     But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. He is the only way to God   John 14:6 (NKJV)     Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for us.   John 1:12 (NKJV)     But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.

Film #1 - Why I hate RELIGION

Religious people are toxic because they are:

Judgemental

Hypocritical

When in fact, they should be the catalyst of God’s love. They tend to bring up religious stuff only when it’s convenient for them, but they never really apply it to themselves. 

“Practice what we preach.” “Walk the talk.”

Religion distorts the image of God.

Romans 3:23 NKJV

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

-       All of us are sinners. Just because you sin different does not make you better. Everyone is messed up, everyone is broken, everyone has their dirty little secret, it’s just that some people are very good at hiding theirs.

BUT I BELIEVE IN GOD

When we hit the rock bottom, we see that God is really the ROCK at the bottom. No matter how dirty you are, GOD LOVES YOU.

Romans 5:8 NKJV

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Religion doesn’t save. Jesus does.

God meets you where you are. Despite the sin and the shame, He forgot all about that, and He just loved you. Where can you find that kind of love?

Religion never gets to the core.

Isaiah 64:6 NLT

We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.

Ephesians 2:9 NLT

Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

Salvation is not about the good works, it’s about GRACE.

GOOD WORKS = should be a product of God’s love and grace.

GRACE = Unmerited, undeserved

We should just accept God’s love because we cannot save ourselves. God does not look at our past. God sees us as His children. His love is amazing.

Jesus’ life is the only story where the HERO died for the villain (it’s us because we are all dirty). He died the death we should have died so we could live the life we should never have lived. God loves you and me.

Church is the hospital for the broken, not a museum for good and holy people.

We all need love, affirmation, and purpose and GOD could give it to us. Go to Jesus.

John 14:6 NKJV

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

ONLY JESUS COULD COMPLETE YOU. Not fame, not your career, not your grades, etc.

Bottomline:

It’s not about religion. It’s about your personal relationship with JESUS.

Religion is man-made. God looks at the heart.

Film #2 - Na-GOYO ka na ba sa Pag-ibig? (Were you cheated in love?)

Have you been cheated, or you were the one who cheated?

Cheating, infidelity, adultery is such a serious matter that it is considered UNIVERSALLY FORBIDDEN. However, a lot of people still do it.

3 types of CHEATING:

Physical Cheating

Emotional Cheating

Both

Cheating is a form of betrayal. For those who have been cheated on, replaced, shat on:

Psalm 34:18 NIV

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted  and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Both guys and girls are capable of cheating.

HOW DO WE AVOID BEING CHEATED ON?

Don’t rush in love.

-       Enter a relationship when you’re ready, not when you’re lonely.

Like when you boil an egg, When you boil it fast, it becomes undercooked.

Don’t base on physical appearance.

-       Like a cake with icing, that would be the first thing we’ll see. What if it’s all icing and no cake? At first, yes, it’s sweet, but as you proceed, you’ll get sick of it.

NO to, “the basis of love is SEX”

-       If that person is constantly demanding sex for this reason (sex=love), that person does not love you. That person loves him/herself.

WHY DO PEOPLE CHEAT?

SYMPTOMS

1.    Lack of attention

2.    Lust

3.    Lack of commitment

ROOT

When you’re expecting the person to complete you when you yourself are empty.

How can empty fill empty?

We all have desire to feel loved, special, needed, validated, and affirmed. Our heart is like a bottomless pit that no fame, money, people could fill and satiate. Whatever we do, we would still feel lacking.

The desire and love that you need could only be found in Christ.

If you want love, get it from ABOVE.

… because you can’t give what you don’t have.

We have a hole that only GOD could seal. And He already did that 2000 years ago on the cross. He died for us, for you.

So, even though others can’t see it, you are WORTH it.

Know your worth, don’t let yourself get cheated on. Elevate your standards and don’t conform to the modern dating culture.
