Yep! (Though I believe the OC in question is not a Gem.)

The character in question is Jason Stross.

Technically, he is and isn’t an SU OC.

Basically, I’ve been writing/working on this character for about 9 years (5 for this current iteration)

While I was working on him during January 2017, the SU Bomb revealing Blue Diamond was leaked.

Falling in love with the character, I thought it’d be a great exercise to write something where Jason accidentally stumbles upon the Human Zoo and meets Blue Diamond trying to escape.

Both burden by the grief of loss, they found a bond between one another.

And through that, it kinda spiraled into basically an AU/Crossover/fanfiction hybrid that involves Jason Stross interacting with elements from SU.

After a few years, Jason gives up hope of ever leaving this planet and dedicates himself to hunting down corrupted Gems with extreme prejudice.

Considering that Jason is a borderline SU OC, I figured it’d be fun to commission her to draw him and Bloodstone with her AU in mind.

The basic idea of this is that after a failed Gem colony on the Planet Kul-Baris, Little Bloodstone is left behind and abandoned.

Hunted by the native Kulvics for her Gem, she starts her small life terrified of shattering or of a worse fate at the hands of the Jewelers.

That is until, she meets Jason Stross, a Paladin who has arrived at the Colony’s ruins to investigate.

This is more or less an AU of the AU where Jason interacts with Gems/SU stuff.

Basically, after constant run ins with Gems, causing him to get his ass kicked literally across the galaxy, Jason finds himself marooned on Earth.

For the next five years, he resides on Earth, constantly on his own and maintaining his Paladin armor to the best of his ability.

Seeing the event as his penance, Jason’s sole focus is hunting down Corrupted Gems with extreme predjudice until one of them kills him.

This time, it’s characters Evelyn Fontaine and DIX-190.

Eve is an escaped supersoldier prototype-turned Jason Vorhees-esqe vigilante.

DIX-190 is a Security Droid-turned Mercenary, who uses most of his earning to support orphanages.

As I watched it for like the 50th time, I thought that would fit the Dynamic of Evelyn Fontaine and DIX-190.

So, because her art would convey the comedy much better (and I can’t draw to save my life), I once again commissioned @making-friendos to make the comic presented, and it was brutally hilarious.

Jason Stross vs The Multiverse

So some quick context, fellow Tumblr user @cratmang created an SU character, Conga Tourmaline, an interdimensional traveler that travels through and studies the Alternate Universes of Steven Universe.

They currently have two posts on her on their blog, which goes into better detail on her character.

So I reached out to them and asked if it would be ok to write a quick thing where my character Jason Stross meets her.

They said yes, and the result is an SU OC that isnt an SU OC being tied into an alternate version of @ask-whitepearl-and-steven, an alternate version of @lab-raised-steven, a hint of @revolver-d‘s Black Pearl, an even smaller hint of Symbiotic Titan, and topped off with Doom.

And some Trailer Park Boys for good measure.

R054 Ch. 1(?)

So, I wrote a thing. For lack of better terms, it’s a fanfic of a fanfic.  Ha.

All kidding aside, full props to the original AU this is based on, @lab-raised-steven . The person running it is a really awesome dude who helped out a lot with the lore and writing process as I wrote this.

The idea is that Jason Stross, a character of mine, waking up to find himself locked away in the Lab of Dr. Robert Wendell, at the mercy of said sadist.

This all stemmed from me reading how much of a bastard one of the scientist characters are and thought, “Hey, it’d be kinda cool of Jason met this guy.

So, without further ado,  I hope you find this piece entertaining, but most importantly, I hope you give @lab-raised-steven / @lab-raised-archive / @societyslostone (Main) a visit!
