Last night was my first night in my new place. It’s been a very long week of cleaning and renovating but I finally have a bedroom to sleep in! 😍 still lots of renovations to go (the bathroom literally fell apart just from touching it so that has to be entirely re-tiled) but it’s starting to look and feel like a home 🏠☺️. Cats were not at all impressed about the move and have had harsh words with me on the subject 🙄🐈

But I just wanted to acknowledge something that means and has meant a great deal to me for the last 7 years. Love is a very beautiful and wonderful thing and I feel very lucky to have shared it with my best friend for such a long time. Sadly that chapter has come to an end. Those of you that know us, know that we are still best friends and have no intention of losing that. To you, you who have loved me for 7 years and been a constant source of happiness for me. 🚨 These little superstars are my current foster kittens. Edward, Nina, Alphonse (Al) and Winry were found after two days without their mum and rushed into my care. Severely dehydrated and with very gunky eyes, I took them to the vet. It was there that we discovered that these little guys were born with deformed or entirely missing inner eyelids, causing them lots of pain, damaging their vision and putting them at risk of infection. The smallest of the litter, Edward also has a suspected case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia which means that he has trouble balancing and walking. After a few days in my care, they’re looking much healthier and their pain is being managed by the use of eye ointment a few times a day. Most likely they will require surgery to repair their eyelids and long term care from their future homes. We’re collecting money for their treatment over at the @pawsandclaws.inc website and Facebook page. If you’d like to help these little fighters get their chance a happy, healthy life a donation of any amount (even just a dollar) really does help! These little ones are so sweet and loving and will make some one an amazing companion one day! I’ll be doing everything I can to get them there! ☺️❤️

2017 You have been my harshest critic and my wisest teacher. This year I have been under more stress than I have ever experienced and I didn’t crumble like I wanted to so, so many times. I came out stronger and smarter and more self aware. This year I found some semblance of myself and I liked what I found. I am so proud and grateful for the work I have been able to do with @pawsandclaws.inc rescuing and fostering so many cats and kittens in need. Seeing them happy in their furever homes makes me happy in a way I cannot describe. Releasing my first single as Hen was nerve wracking and going on tour with a whole new set and sound, even more so! But it was one of the absolute highlights of my year! Being able to play music that truly reflects me and to be able to do it with the amazing @chutneyspades and @eligreendrums supporting me made it extra special. I excelled in my studies, something I never thought I would do! And in doing so, found a conviction in myself I hadn’t known before. I’m not sure what 2018 holds but if I get my way it will be filled with adventure and music like never before! ‘Til then! 🐥 Thanks to @_stevenrcook_ for the epic live shot! Well the tour is over and I am only now awake enough to say something about it! I had an amazing time touring with @rachaeleahcar. She is an amazing, hilarious, kind hearted and exceptionally talented person. I count myself lucky to have been able to see her nail it at every single show. Thank you so much for taking me along for the ride! It was wonderful! I’d like to take some time to thank two very important people. These guys went above and beyond so many times. They made my set sound amazing and they made me feel incredibly supported up there playing it. I literally (like absolutely seriously) couldn’t have done this tour without them. Massive thanks to @chutneyspadesbass and @eligreendrums for being incredible bad asses and honorary members of the local girl gang. ❤️🦄 I had SO much fun on this tour, I’m itching to hit the road again! 🐥 Thanks to @kathryn.farmer for the photos!! 😍
