Can I use a regular backpack? I want to bring my camera but the drawstring backpacks suck when it comes to rain

Hey everyone, so with Warped coming to an end, and a couple hundred people already unfollowing this blog over the past couple of months lol, I just wanted to put my personal thoughts out there. I’ll still be keeping this blog up, you never know if Warped will come back or not tbh it is technically the last full cross country run, that means there’s a big chance that Warped will at least have one date next summer, but who knows.

I’ve been going to Warped in St. Louis every year since 2012. Since this was the last one, I went on a lil Warped roadtrip this year and also hit up Ohio, Chicago, and Indiana. That puts me at 10 total Warped Tours over the past 7 years. Ever since the first one, it basically became a dream of mine to one day be in a band again and play on Warped, so much for that now lol. I still play guitar and love music just as much, if not more, and still plan on making some sort of career out of music, I’ve even gone to school for music tech - pretty much all because of that first Warped Tour back in 2012. So walking out of that very last Warped for me in Indiana, I tried real hard not to tear up, but I did, lots of times lol. That’s how much Warped really meant to me. I was 15 and Warped 2012 was my very first concert, Motionless In White was the first band I ever saw live. Since then I’ve seen over a hundred bands and have been to tons of other shows, but nothing ever beats Warped for me. So it just really sucks it’s done (for now).

If anyone wants to share their thoughts or just anything Warped or music related, I’m all for it. I took my camera in (without a press pass so I shot from the crowd), at the Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio date, so I’ll probably post some of my photos over time on here. For now I’ll leave it with this one of Spencer from Ice Nine Kills.

Hi, can I buy a ticket, go in just to see a certain band and then leave?

Drink lots and lots of water, sunscreen every hour or so, eat something even if you’re not that hungry so you don’t lose energy, and wear comfy shoes. There’s more first timer tips in the FAQ as well

I'm only going to get to Warped about an hour before it starts. Would I be better off waiting in the regular line or bringing in cans? Becuase I noticed some people said they actually got in later in the skip the line line.

Definitely do the skip line. Regardless of what time you get in, the entire skip line will still get in before the regular line, and an hour before gates open the lines start getting real long. So I’d stick with the skip line.

Hi! Do you have any experience with day of show tickets? If I buy one, will I still be paying all the dumb fees and will I still be able to donate so I can skip the line?

You won’t be paying any fees but it’ll probably be more expensive anyway to compensate, and because usually day of show tickets are more expensive. It won’t be too much over the original price though. And yes you can still skip the line.

My best friend and I are going to Nashville Warped tomorrow. We used to make it a yearly thing, but we haven't been in 5 years! I can't remember if we brought spray sunscreen or what. I know that's typically all I buy. Are they really heavy on that rule?

Sorry I didn’t get to your question in time, but for anyone else wondering, it really just depends on your venue. I brought in spray sunscreen either last year or the year before but I don’t know how strict they are with that now.

okay so like with everything going on in the world right now i’m kind worried ab security and everything and i went two years ago and really can’t remember my bags being checked very thoroughly if at all, and i know you said they usually don’t check very well but do you have any idea if they’ve tightened up on their security at all this year??

Security is different at every venue, the venue has their own security, they’re not apart of the Warped staff. I doubt it’s changed very much though. My venue just recently got metal detectors installed in front of the gates but when they checked our bags they still barely checked much. So nothing really changed lol

Gates don’t close, you can go in at anytime.

They should be mailed no later than a couple days before your date, if you haven’t gotten them yet I’d contact them about it. I have mobile tickets so I just printed mine out after I bought them.

I had a question about what kind of bags you can bring. I know you can bring in drawstring bags and a small purse but I have a backpack that is a drawstring and has a flap on top that closes with a button and is about medium size. Do you think they will let me in with the backpack or should i take the drawstring to be safe?

For the red cross blood drive vip ticket, my sister is 14 and she can’t donate blood. Is it possible for her to get a vip ticket? Could my mom donate blood for her?

Im going to warped tour this year and it’s my first but I got a Mobile Ticket instead of the physical copy or a print at home one, does warped tour accept mobile tickets?

Yes

My girlfriend bought me a ticket and it says her name on it. Am I going to have to show a ID to get in? If I do how do I get it transferred to my name?

No ID. The name on the ticket doesn’t matter
