[[Ahhh playing Broken Circle just reminds me of how pissed Kieran was with the Templars during this quest. Like he’s usuallyso calm, and diplomatic when it comes to the Templars, the perfect example of a ‘well-behaved mage’ (to them) so he could avoid them. He gets to the ruined circle all that shit is fucking gone the moment Greagoir explains what happened and that he left innocent mages, mage children, and templars in there to die. Kieran was fucking p i s s e d.

Like so pissed he marched into the tower with no hesitation that he was going to save the survivors and prevent the circle from being annualed.

Still working on more detail of it in a writing sense but i can 100% say for certain when it’s over and Greagoir goes “The templars will not join your army” Kieran just smiles at him with that nice patient smile he has and says

“Good, we don’t want cowards in our army. At least I certainly don’t.”

Kieran also definitely becomes a more active mage activist after this, like he did  help other mages in the circle however he could (mainly by being a mediator between them and the templars) but after Broken Circle, he gets more??? confident and open about helping the mages and going against the chantry’s hatred against them.]]

Okay everyone so this blog is kind of going on an I definite hiatus??? Like. A hiatus but NOT EXACTLY a hiatus. I just have no feel for my ocs on Tumblr, but I want to try and get their muse back still. So pretty much that means they are available for interaction just over more private forms of it like rps on skype or discord!! Anyone can hmu on there if we are mutuals, just let me know who u are. Teaching hadn’t really been something Rafael ever thought about doing. Learning sure- he learned a lot. Learned how to control his magic from his father, learned manners and how to be polite from his mother (look at how well that stuck), learned how to use his staff to beat the absolute shit out of people when necessary from Carver (and how to do it better from Aveline), and learned a bit of blood magic from Merril. Her version anyway- the kind that healed corruption, fixed broken bones and flesh, dragged those away from the edge of death. But still he had never taught anyone, had never considered it.

Not until now at least- upon learning that Fenris could not read or write. Rafael wasn’t sure why that had surprised him so much- given the elf’s background. Perhaps it had been because his mother had been very, very persistent in making sure every Hawke child knew how to read. They could have been running away from the Templars and Leandra would have made sure her children had their reading lesson for the day. So he didn’t really put much into consideration when he had given Fenris a book written by Shartan- things had gotten a little awkward. Then Rafael offered to teach him how to read (and possibly write, he assumed that reading and writing went hand in hand), and so now he was setting up for that.

He had gotten a few basic things to start with- a few simple books (mainly children’s fairytales, just the basics like what he had started with), a book that had the entire alphabet listed in it, both for writing reference and for Fenris to look over when he wasn’t with Rafael, and a lot of parchment, ink, and quills. Now he simply had to wait for the elf’s arrival, which meant he was sitting in his favorite chair picking dirt from his nails; while waiting for the inevitable excited barks and possibly the loud ‘THUMP’ of something heavy hitting the ground. His mabari certainly liked Fenris- enough so to try and tackle the elf to the ground at least whenever he walked through the dog.

Months on the road had done wonders for his muscles and strength but he still wasn’t sure on his ability to.climb freely.

“Do…do we have what we need to even begin climbing? I don’t know how I feel about climbing without some sort of anchor.”
