The boy had certainly been conspicuous, adorned in his lavish fabrics, the jewel on his fingers seemed to sparkle and dance in the torch light. The Sand Serpent certainly wasn’t the type of place to wear flash such expensive fashion. Perhaps that was what caught the young lord’s eye. Granted, the soft curl in the stranger’s hair and the innocently unassuming smile certainly didn’t fit with the aesthetic of the tavern at the moment. Griff decided that he liked that. “Fun, hm? Well depending on the fun you’re looking for, you might have come to the right place,” he replied with a playful smirk. “I have to say, you might be a bit overdressed for the establishment,” he spared a glance to the boy’s jewels and fabrics. “Unless you were trying stand out.” While Griffin himself certainly wasn’t dressed like a commoner, adorned in expensive made black leathers and a deep red satin scarf, he was understated enough to get by. 

His nose crinkled at the word ‘drab’ used to describe the place. “The Sand Serpent has been called a lot of things, but I don’t think ‘drab’ has ever been one of them. What sort of fun is a pretty gentleman like yourself looking for? There’s a brothel down the street, if you’re looking for someone to put some color in those pretty cheeks of yours.” Reaching over, he used his thumb to wipe away the bit of wine that had dribbled down the brunet’s chin. After licking the wine from his thumb, he took a sip from his own goblet. “There are usually minstrels and bards down by the beaches who play music, if that’s what you’re craving. I can’t vouch for their some the talent though.” Suddenly, Griff decided his night might actually be bit more fun than he’d thought. “Take your pick, Lord…” he paused, waiting for the stranger to fill in the silence with his name.

griffin was unlike anyone he’d ever laid his eyes upon. somehow, in all his trips along metia, he’d never made his way to this side of sollia, and poseidon had to admit―he wished had done so sooner. heat rushed to his cheeks, painting his fair skin with a tint of pink. “ it’s better to stand out than to blend in, don’t you think ?? ” poseidon questioned, his smile on full display. “ if you don’t, how else will you catch someone’s attention ?? ” the boy mused, his chin resting upon the palm of his jewel-crested hand. his hues took in griffin and his fiery locks once more, and he had to admit he liked what he saw. his tongue swiped across his bottom lip, glistening now with his saliva in the flickering torch light.

poseidon listened with intent to griffin’s words, though his mind was perhaps already decided on what he truly wanted. “ hm, as tempting as those all sound, brothels aren’t quite my style, ” he had to admit, nodding as he spoke. a curl fell upon his forehead that he brushed back into place almost immediately with his pinkie finger. “ i think perhaps i may have misjudged the... sand serpent—that’s what you called it ?? ” poseidon explained. his hands moved to rest in his lap them, fingers brushing against his riding pants. “ il mare... of medes, ” he answered back, a smile offered up to the redheaded male. “ why don’t you show me your favorite thing to do around here, around this time of night... and then wherever that takes us, it takes us, ” poseidon suggested, crossing his legs as he sat up straight in his seat. “ if you’ll have me, that is, of course... ”

There were few things that made Pietro Il Mare lose sleep. The dreams about a time he felt belonged under the sea were some of them. Other’s, the ineffable craving he felt for power and how he would do almost anything to get it. And perhaps the most important of them all: His family. Namely, his own brother. Poseidon. After being apart for so long, the young noble had reunited with his sibling and he couldn’t help but be ecstatic. He did let his little brother sleep and rest after the trip, as he decided to organize a small dinner in his honor.

But all his plans flew out of his head when he saw the frame of Poseidon again… this time, with nothing covering it. It wasn’t the first time he saw him naked, but it did the same effect on him like the night he started loving his brother in a much more personal, intimate way. “Must you be without clothes already, Poseidon?” he asked playfully, letting the other know he was on his sight. “What about the beautiful gown I left for you on your bed?”

poseidon paraded through the corridor, innocently passing by his brothers room. he turned at the voice that fell upon his ears. he tip-toed into the room, youthful smile across his plump pink lips. poseidon took a seat upon the desk where pietro sat, draping his legs over the edge. “ it’s much too hot for that right now, pietro, ” the boy spoke, lashing battering at the boy. “ besides, nightgowns are so confining. you wouldn’t want me to be uncomfortable ?? ” poseidon questioned, wiping a trickle of sweat off his brow. “ but i did think it was very pretty, thank you... ”

The kingdom of Sollia had always been known for having an… eclectic night life. You tended to meet an assortment of people from an array of different places, each expecting, or contributing something to and from the kingdom. From royals and nobles from across the seas, to whores from the brothel down the street. There were men of carrying stations of wealth and upbringing, and all them were looking for something. 

That night, a particularly restless redheaded dragon lord sat in a corner table of the Sand Serpent, surrounded by his father’s bannermen. It had turned into a particular rowdy night at the tavern, most of his men falling victim to the spicy sollian wine and spirits pouring freely into their goblets. Griffin Aragon himself, however, sat more sober than he wished in his seat at the head of the table. He was bound for Valtolia the next day, by orders of his father, a long trek that would need him alter, and preferably not a hung over mess. Still, because of those plans found himself more antsy than ever. Hot, honey brown eyes scanned the tavern, flashing the occasional wry grin and roguish chuckle at the slew of jokes and songs being barked out around his table. His attention, however, fell upon a figure sitting across the tavern, looking not nearly as boisterous as the environment around him. The oddity had been enough to catch his attention for a moment. And then another moment. Try as he might, he couldn’t shake the curiosity. So, without much thought, he took his goblet of wine with him and sauntered over to the male. “You look like you’re in the wrong place,” he chuckled, gesturing toward the crowd of drunks and lechers. “Are you lost?” An odd question, given the fact that Griffin himself, being a lord of quite a notable house, seemed quite content in the environment.

sollia wasn’t too far off from the medesi islands, and occasionally, the il mares set their sails in that direction. he was only supposed to be there for a few days, and poseidon hoped to use those days to his advantage. it was why he was wondering down the streets late at night, looking for something bring him a bit of a rush. his eyes fell upon the tavern after a few moments of aimlessly wandering, and poseidon figured that was his best bet.

the curly-haired boy took a seat amongst the rowdy men. it was obvious he was out of place. he was smaller in comparison to the rest of the men, both in width and height. his jewel adorned fingers seemed to point him out from the other, if he hadn’t already been given away. still, poseidon drank away at the sollian wine in his goblet. his legs crossed as he eavesdropped in on the conversation—some of it, far too vulgar for his liking... other times, he chimed in with laughter. poseidon kept to himself, though, most of the time. the last thing he wanted was to cause a scene, though, he would have definitely enjoyed the attention of some of sollia’s beautiful men. he turned in his chair when he heard the other man’s voice fall upon his ears. he finished off the rest of his wine, a bit of it dribbling down his chin because he hadn’t been careful enough. “ lost ?? no, just looking for a bit of fun, ” poseidon admitted with a smile. he pushed a curl out of his face. “ i’m not from around here though... so maybe that’s why i look like i don’t belong here, ” he explained. “ tell me... what is there to do around here that’s not so drab ?? ” the boy questioned, batting his lashes up at griffin.

footsteps made their way up the steps to blacktyde. truth be told, poseidon hadn’t been paying a lick of attention when his father explained why he was being forced to go the castle. he’d learn the ropes soon enough. his eyes took in the familiar sights as he was left by his lonesome. the curly haired male began to roam from the foyer, aimlessly wandering through the castle—he knew he’d be scolded if he got caught, but that wasn’t exactly on his mind in the moment.

poseidon stumbled upon the blonde male by accident, though he was far from displeased. he recognized him almost immediately, of course, though he didn’t know much about him. his tongue wet his lips as he strolled over to the master of coin, extending a hand. long eyelashes battered up at perestan. “ i hope i’m not interrupting anything, am i ?? ” poseidon questioned, his face the epitome of innocence. “ if i am, you’ll have to let me make it up to you... ” his voice trailed off as a smile came across his features. // @lordofblacktyde​

Gwen was laying in the sun on the beach, nude and enjoying the feeling of warmth on every inch of his skin. A glass of wine, as well as a full bottle, sat next to him. He was trying to find some calm in his day – trying not to worry about Lee or his friends that had been attacked in Valtolia. the medesi beaches were poseidon’s favorite places in all of metia. they had been since he was a little boy. he spent most of his time along the shores or in the water, it helped clear his mind. dressed in nothing but the finest jewels medes had to offer, poseidon was consumed in his thoughts when the voice fell upon his ears. he hadn’t expected anyone else to be there; gwen startled him a bit, causing him to jump back in the sand. “ you don’t own the beach, gwen, ” poseidon teased as he settled down next to the boy. “ are you catching up on your sun today ?? ”
