jimnhq:
everything slowed down once their eyes met, the air in her lungs nearly halting to a stop had it not been for her brain sending her reminders to breathe again. she could feel her stomach becoming full of butterflies, dancing around and making her become nervous like she had that same day he walked into the flower shop. no one ever made her feel that way except for jihun and right now, jimin wished she wasn’t in this situation.
dark, hazel eyes now focused on the girl in front of him. touching his arm, touching what’s rightfully hers. she never thought herself as the jealous type, but the way she felt inside told her otherwise. jimin had no right to be envious, considering she was currently on something less than a date with someone else. and yet her jaw tightened, tearing her eyes away from the two before she upset herself any longer.
jimin ran her hands through her hair, turning her attention back on her date, giving a faux smile as he laughed about something ridiculously crude his friend had said. downing the rest of her drink, tinder boy ordered her a new one, which made her more than thankful. placing her hand on his arm and smiling innocently (if innocence was disguised as flirtiness that is.) up at him, jimin leaned in a bit closer.
she needed him out of her mind.
all smiles now, jimin turned on her charms–laughing at anything he said, playing with her hair, dancing her fingertips on his forearm gently; the whole nine yards.
if jihun could play, why couldn’t she?
it was almost too easy to fall into her trap.
he wasn’t dumb ---- he prided himself over that, doesn’t he? he knew what she was doing, or what she was trying to do and he hated that it was working. jihun was easily the possessive type and though he knew fully well that jimin wasn’t technically his, the thought of another man’s hands on her was enough to make his blood boiling. it didn’t help that he could clearly see the man enjoying the attention a little too much, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth.
oh, fuck technicality.
getting out of sihyun’s grasp, he ignored her protests and immediately strided over towards the pair, not caring about bumping into anyone along the way. as soon as she was in close range, jihun reached out to grab her hand and pulled her away from her seat but not before leaving a message for her date.
“stay the fuck away from my girlfriend.”
with that, he turned around and left the scene, tugging along jimin to an empty hallway lit with neon lights and the beat of the club music bouncing off the walls, secluded enough for him to loosen his hold on her hand and face her, his breath hitched in his throat at the close proximity, bringing back memories of their moment in the flower shop.
“don’t ever do that again.” he gritted his teeth, the sternness in his tone evident. his heart was beating faster than usual, but whether it was because of the adrenaline coursing through his veins or jimin ---- he wasn’t sure.
