She hated the idea of her team and herself needing to prove themselves in this universe. They were perfectly capable of handling things just as well as any other established team here or in any other universe. “Then let’s go. I mean, is anyone really going to stop us?” A possibility. She felt like some of those from this universe were trying to handle them all as if they were made of porcelain. “We have experience and we’re not children.” Therefore they shouldn’t be treated as such. “We’re more than capable of taking care of ourselves out there without a chaperone.”
Ori didn’t want to begrudge people who were obviously trying to do right by them, but he couldn’t help resenting the situation somewhat. Everything that had led up to their arrival in this world had already made him feel so powerless; now he felt even more powerless staying here and being monitored by people he didn’t even know. “They want to protect us, so I can’t imagine they’ll just let us walk out of here suited up.” Ori understood the impulse at least, it was every heroes job to protect the innocent but Lucy was correct that they weren’t fresh faced little kids. “It’s better if they just don’t know right? I’ve been thinking of ways to sneak out unnoticed, but as kickass ass as we are, I don’t know if I’m out smart Iron Man smart yet.”
Lucy read the same sentence for the tenth time before snapping the book in her hands shut with a frustrated huff. The mansion had plenty of amenities to keep her occupied, but she was too restless to do any one activity for too long. “I can’t take another evening of this.” She had enough of sitting around here waiting for who knew what to happen.
“We caused a fair amount of chaos and confusion when we came here and I’m willing to bet it still hasn’t completely died down in the city. Someone’s bound to take advantage of that, if they haven’t already. Most of us,” the ones that followed in their parents footsteps and became either a hero or anti-hero, “should be out there doing something.”
Ori had just been waiting for someone else to say it. He knew better than to try and run off on his own in some strange place, and he also knew he had to be careful lest one of these avengers kids narced on him to their parents. Lucy was a friend though, a fellow defender, he could be honest with her. “Of course we should be. I mean seriously, what’s the point of just having us sit here doing nothing when we could be out doing good. We’re as much heroes as any of the Avengers, we should be acting like it.”
Tommy wasn’t likely to admit it to anyone but the truth was he only really cared about finding one person here, and he could only wait around so long and wait for her to end up crossing paths with him, so he took off. Sure, he could have told the avengers who he was and gotten an answer from them, or at least waited for Billy. But it would just be easier this way; Billy was so slow surely Tommy would find Wanda first, and the avengers didn’t seem to know who he was and trusting random authority wasn’t exactly his style. He’d been running around the streets of New York for what felt like forever, but when Tommy really focused every single second could feel like forever. And as he zoomed past the other people crowding the sidewalks Tommy truly was focused, taking in every face he passed. He may have underestimated the difficulty of searching for just one person in a city of millions, but he wasn’t going to let that stop him. It was then that he saw her across the street from him. Tommy stopped dead in his tracks ever so briefly before dashing over, lucky for him that his speed also made dodging the cars blocking the way a breeze, they probably never even would have known he was there. He came to a stop in front of her, and as he stood there he realized he didn’t actually plan what he was going to do when he found Wanda and so he just stood there for what felt like yet another eternity feeling really very stupid, before he simply blurted out the only words the came to mind, “Hi, Mom.” Excellent, Tommy sarcastically thought to himself, definitely very subtle and not weird at all.
David knew realistically that he could not avoid his father forever, not if he was going to literally live in his school at least. Yet he couldn’t help but feel somewhat weary after all he’d already had to reveal to Charles that he was his child once in his life, and it took them quite some time to get to having an okay relationship afterwards. This may have been a different version of his father and David was at a different time in his life, but there was no guarantee as to how this would go. Beyond that it just didn’t seem fair that David had have this conversation twice in one lifetime, but still there was really no long term way to avoid it so it was better to bite the bullet sooner rather than later. “Hey uh... Pro-professor Xavier,” David called out as he knocked on his father’s door, already feeling like he was starting off on a bad foot as he struggled to call him something so formal. “I was hoping we could talk. I have something I need to tell you.”
Scott frankly had no idea what to make of the portals that had opened up in the sky or the children that had been falling through them. He wasn’t particularly well equipped to help them out either, there’s wasn’t much firing energy out of his eyes could do but get someone hurt in this situation. At least he could offer some tactical support if he could find a group, but as it stood everyone had been scattered by the chaos. Though he obviously couldn’t blame those could offer more direct help for doing so. It was then that Scott came upon someone who at least appeared to be somewhat aimless at the moment. “Hey,” he called out to them, “do you need any help?”
that’s what this was. a massive stain upon two universes that never should have interacted. but the reality of the situation left the mutant leader with the taste of sick in his throat. once he realized that these were not threats entering his world, but children - his entire demeanor had changed into a justified version of piety.
continuing his hardened glare up at the sky, erik hadn’t realized that directly beside him someone was falling - in an instinctive fashion as his powers coursed through him, the mutant reached out and pulled the falling being down with as much gentleness as he could, lowering them slowly to land without breaking anything onto the hardened ground.
“are you hurt?” he asked, releasing his magnetic hold on them and frowning as he started to walk towards them. “what is your name?“
David was in perhaps a slightly more controlled free fall than some of his compatriots, but it was free fall nonetheless and his own telekinesis could only do so much to help him as fell to the ground. Sure he’d probably live, but it would probably hurt like hell to land. David was preparing for impact when he suddenly slowed and was brought to much gentler halt than he could have accomplished on his own. That’s when he sees who stopped his descent. “Erik,” David blurted out, surprised to see him here. “I’m fine,” he muttered as he thought of his next steps. David probably trusted Erik more than he trusted most people at this point, but admittedly that wasn’t saying much. Though the fact that he didn’t seem to recognize David called for some alarm, he figured it was probably safe to be honest with him. “My name is David Haller. I’m... I’m Charles’ son. Do you know where he is?”
James doesn’t know what he hit at first but he hit it hard. His first form of action is to roll off the car he’s just destroyed (Armor works great protecting him from shortfalls but still fucking ow)and pull out his gun and start aiming. It doesn’t do him any favors as the people around him are scared and running away. He growls lowering his gun a little. It doesn’t take him long too look up an see the sky and that answers a few questions.
The next thing that happens is him hissing in pains as he throws off one of the holsters attached to him and watches as it sparks and catches on fire. He takes a shot at it then looks to someone beside him who’s giving him a look. “What you have a problem? I’ve got one big one and it’s in the sky. So unless you can fly me up there, we really don’t have much to talk about.”
David is content to just sit and watch as the other boy begins wildly waving his gun around, after all there’s not much the mutant can do to try and stop his fellow dimension hopper. At least as long he’s there he can try to defuse things if need be. “Do you know how it looks if we come out of the sky and start trying to shoot people?” David asks calmly, seeing no point in further escalating on the other’s agitation. “Going back up won’t do you any good either. Folks are trying, they just bounce back down.”
[ansel elgort - nonbinary - 23 - he/they] Looks like DAVID HALLER, also known as LEGION, have been unknowingly transported into this universe. They are the BIOLOGICAL child of CHARLES XAVIER. From what we see as we observe them they show signs of SPONTANEOUS MUTATION and if we were to account for who they hang out with we would associate them with THE X-MEN. They seem to display HUMOR AND QUICK THINKING as well as INSTABILITY AND ALOOFNESS. Hopefully, in coming to this new world they can find the salvation that their original universe parents wanted for them.

Backstory
David is the result of a brief relationship between Gabrielle Haller and Charles Xavier, when Gabrielle discovered she was pregnant after Charles had already left Israel she decided not to tell Charles and to raise their child on her own. Eventually Gabrielle married Daniel Shomron and the two raised David Together.
David was a gentle and shy child. Diagnosed with autism at an early age David never spoke much, at least not to anyone other than his step father and mother. Eventually Gabrielle’s job as an Israeli Diplomat brought their family to paris, where David enjoyed a peaceful childhood. Though his mother was often absent.
(Death TW) However that peace didn’t last; when David was eight several men broke into their family’s home. David’s stepfather stood between their attackers and David, and as a result died directly in front of him. The trauma of this event awakened David’s mutation and before David could comprehend anything that was happening his power lashed out for him instantly killing the people who had attacked their home. In the process David’s mind came into direct contact with the people who had come to hurt his family, and in their dying moments David unintentionally absorbed one of them into his mind. Compounded by the trauma he had just experienced David’s mind fractured into several different personalities, or alters, including the man who had just tried to take his life.
(Abuse TW) The rest David doesn’t truly remember, he spent the next eight years trapped in his mind, which quickly became a trauma shaped warzone. With each of his alters controlling a different mutant ability and all of them warring for control it was inevitable that David’s mutant abilities would begin to manifest in the real world. When he was in his mid-teens the outbursts of his powers became too strong and too frequent for Gabrielle to handle on her own so she brought David to Muir Island so that Dr. Moira MacTaggart could care for him, there Moira and her team kept David restrained and in a medically induced coma and performed several experiments with David and his mind to attempt to help him. When these not only didn’t help but David’s powers became more volatile Moira contacted Charles Xavier for assistance, not knowing that he was in fact David’s father.
The truth came out soon enough though, when Charles arrived and entered David’s mind David immediately recognized the man as his father, despite having never actually seen Charles before in his life, and cried out to him for help. At first Charles’ shock gave David’s alters the chance to force Charles out of their shared headspace, but the realization only strengthened Charles’ resolve to help David. So the next day Charles returned to David’s mind, this time bringing Gabrielle and the New Mutants with him. Together they were able to broker some peace between all his alters, though that peace only benefitted David marginally, as he still wasn’t given much control over anything, with his alters still choosing to assert themselves over David. However David at least got to have a brief meeting with his father, and Charles promised not to leave him again, despite that promise quickly proving impossible to keep.
(Abuse TW, Death Ment) However David was still deemed too dangerous to be safely contained and he was still kept in a medically induced coma except for when his parents were present and he was being experimented on for ways to ‘fix’ his mind. Things carry on like this for two years until the Shadow King posses David, using David’s abilities to almost destroy the X-Men as he assaults Muir Island. The Shadow King also used the fact that he had taken David’s body to taunt Charles, claiming that David loved the destruction he was using David’s body to enact, but the truth was that when the Shadow King entered David’s body it broke David and left him powerless to do anything but watch. Though David could still hear the thoughts of those around him, could tell not only the X-Men but his own father believed the lies the Shadow King told. Felt them begin to feel that he was nothing more than a monster. So David simply sank deeper into his mind, so far back that he could no longer hear anyone else’s thoughts or see the terrible things his body was being used to do. And when the Shadow King left David slipped into a coma. Charles attempted to enter David’s one last time, but what little signs of life he found were brushed off by the X-Men who encouraged Charles to accept his child’s death. After all it was probably for the best in their eyes. David was transferred by his mother to Tel Aviv and placed under the best medical care money could buy in hopes that one day David would wake up.
It took a year, but when David came to he had no interest in seeing his mother or father or anyone from his old life. So while the ethics were questionable he simply made the nurse who had seen him wake up forget that she had and then left the hospital and the country. He didn’t know where he wanted to go but he wanted to be as far away from anything he knew as possible. David travelled the world for a while, but after several months found that his mind had become too unstable for him to handle alone. Where there were once three main alters there were now hundreds, splintering more and more and quickly approaching thousands. Without another option David goes to his father and the X-Men to help. The X-Men may have hated him, but Charles finally made good on his promises not to abandon him and to help him however he could. With the help of other mutants David was able to contain his alters, and the school also developed his neural switchboard, allowing him to safely if briefly access his alters and the mutant abilities of his they contained.
And then David just hung out with the X-Men until the world ended thank you and I’m sorry this was so long.
Powers
David is an incredibly powerful mutant with basically every power in the books (reality warping, time travel, ect.) but for the sake of this RP I’m going to say that David has his Neural Switchboard, but can only safely access some of his abilities. Those abilities being
Telepathy
Telekinesis
Pyrokinesis
Probably some of the other funny but harmless ones (IE: David can conically function as a cell phone, which is basically useless in a fight but it is hilarious)
In terms of physical ability David isn’t actually very strong, not does he have much stamina, he spent the the entirety of his teens in a hospital bed. He’s had a few years to train but he’s still pretty weak, you will not catch him running in any marathons or handling a one on one fight without his powers.
Personality
David is fairly immature, somewhat understandably so because while he may be 23 he’s only actually been conscious for like 15 years of actual lived experience. He can also be very bitter and argumentative and he is not at all quick to trust. He’s been burned and left behind so many times by pretty much anyone he thought he could trust that he pretty much holds everyone at arm's length.
