So it seems as if I get drunk very quickly nowadays due to the antibiotics I'm on. Am a bit tipsy right now, and it feels quite good (I'm 22 and usually never drink, having been old enough to for 4 years). Is this a worrying sign?

The Emperor's Nightingales
'Your feathers were torn out of someone's side left blood behind, and were then dipped in gold. They're dead things, can't protect you from the cold, and you're dead too,' the angry songbird cried. 'Your music's dead – a string of cog-wheels whir inside you, and pluck strings. You can't replace real song, of which there'll never be a trace in you. The soul-less blind artificer who thought with you to steal our songbirds' soul has failed. You're a pathetic stupid thing too dead to know that you can't even sing. No part of music. While we are the whole.' And while the palace garden harshly rang with nightingale complaints, the toy bird sang

Hey. Thanks for the follow. What interested you?
I just saw you on ftmcynicism so I decided to follow. These "ftms" are annoying me; it's like they're taking a serious medical condition and turning it into some cool teenage identity, as if being pansexual/vegan/whatever simply isn't hip enough anymore. There's a distinct lack of trans guys (at least on Tumblr) who have real dysphoria, and aren't like "FTM AND PROUD", "some men have vaginas" or whatever else that makes me sick. So maybe what I'm saying doesn't fit into the whole "trans enough" thing, but I don't care anymore. It's good to see I'm not alone in feeling frustrated at them.

The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

On "Trans Cults"
I've just come to the realisation that I don't actually know ANY trans people in real life. All the other transsexuals I know are either old friends I now only communicate with online (not having seen them in years), or people I've never met at all face-to-face. It thus strikes me as a little odd to hear certain internet trolls refer to trans people as belonging to a "cult".
