MORIARTY:

“  You’re  a  little…    Fine!  I’m sorry?  ”

     “Now that’s more like it.”

IRENE:

Tactility was the linchpin of control. Certainly it was how she often coaxed others (gently, gently) into doing her will. So at the feel of his fingers upon her arm, she frowned a little, equally uncertain if he was toying with her for sport or if this all meant something else entirely. “Perhaps you ought to receive it   regardless. How long has it been  since anyone truly took care of  you, hmm?”

     When had it been last? The fact that he even had to think      about when was enough to tell him that it was TOO LONG.      Would Irene take care of him? She would, if he was her      client, but in other ways? He was unsure if she would ever      want anything even remotely serious. 

“Doesn’t matter. When did you last have fun outside of work?”

MORIARTY:

“I can imagine myself being such a way. If my life had taken a different turn, perhaps, and I had been content with my mathematics and my mathematics alone. I am, after all, one of the greatest minds alive - perhaps in history - and that does eventually go to a man’s head.”

     “I was never any good at maths. Always knew it was interesting,           just never could wrap my head around it. Kudos to you for           letting your life pretty much revolve around it. You should do           more with that, have a better name outside the criminal world.”

MORAN:

“ Okay okay… My bad. Sorry. I thought it was fun, but apparently no.   Sorry for that. Do you think that I’m too… stupid? or…. I don’t know   how to say that, you’re the wise one. “

     “You don’t think things through. You do what you want           to when you want to do it without thinking about the           consequences of doing so.”

MORAN:

“ No no no I know that you don’t want me to suffer. I just said that   you made me understand stuff by pain. Just a little touch to make   me understand that I’m wrong. And you’re right to do that. You did   that so many times, and that helped me so many time. “

     “That’s what I’m supposed to do. I wouldn’t be doing my job if           I let things slip by unnoticed. You’re supposed to feel pain           and remorse and insincerity.”

SHERLOCK:

“I trust you won’t  be too long.”

     “An hour at the most.”

SHERLOCK:

“As I said, it was my brother’s idea to be here. He makes it rather impossible to choose to do otherwise.”

     “I thought the one thing he couldn’t control was you.”

IRENE:

“Curious little chap, aren’t   you?” Hand still stroking deftly at his knee, she looked up at him through long, black lashes. “That all depends…of course,   I’m sure I could be charmed   into making a concession for   an old friend.” There was a strange electricity building between them. Odd, but not entirely unwelcome. 

     Despite knowing her for years, he was still unable to determine      if this was a mere game to her or if she wanted something to        come of it. Of course he would never deny her in any way, and      she had to know that. But was she just playing a game with him?      Time to find out. 

     Shifting a bit, he slid his fingers gently up her arm. “No need for      special treatment.”

SHERLOCK:

       “Don’t look so bothered. It’s not like I’ll          be here much longer than the one cup.”

     “Why are you even here?”
